POSITION </b><b>OVERVIEW:</b></p><p>
The Senior Coordinator, People Services (Human Resources) is a member of the BlueStar Resort &amp; Golf Central Services team and is responsible and accountable for supporting a broad range of initiatives, primarily related to Human Resources inquiries, payroll processing, maintaining current team member information, and processing staff recruitment information. This position reports to the Vice President of People Services.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></p><ul><li>
Communicate the core values and mission of BlueStar Resort &amp; Golf (BSRG) to support the achievement of company goals.</li><li>
Maintain confidentiality, positive customer service, and relationships with staff, guests, and members. Access to HIPAA protected information; must be trained accordingly.</li><li>
Provide central point of contact for Human Resources inquiries from all facilities.</li><li>
Create a shared vision among team members; encourage a motivational environment by leading by example, to include BSRG representation at Shea and/or Active Lifestyle events.</li><li>
Support the pre-hire process; track all background and drug checks as needed; respond to concerns related to Talent+ pre-hire screening.</li><li>
Manage the new hire and termination process. Assist in weekly new hire benefit distribution, review of orientation checklists, and respond to life changing events as needed.</li><li>
Manage personnel files and employee database information; data entry and tracking for STAR reviews; manage the Team Member Referral Program; oversees child support, job and loan verification forms.</li><li>
Coordinate the company-wide transfer program across BSRG.</li><li>
Administrative support for payroll, safety program, BlueStar Business System website, and training program.</li><li>
Write and distribute minutes; monthly Human Resources Contact and Safety Lead conference call.</li><li>
Create exempt offer letters for all sites, including Central Services.</li><li>
Responsible for the System Access Request (SAR) process in Central Services, providing new hires with appropriate network access, phones, and computer hardware through Shea IT in Central Services.</li><li>
Assist with the coordination of Emtrain access and training.</li><li>
Responsible for communication awareness programs and initiatives (employee events, health, corporate social responsibility etc.).</li><li>

Take a proactive approach to ensure a consistent set of superior standards of food service and quality are meeting or exceeding employee and guest expectations.</li><li>
Greet and serve guests in an energetic and friendly fashion; listen to determine beverage preferences and make drink recommendations; mix drinks and serve wine and beer.</li><li>
Check identification to assure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol.</li><li>
Notice and report potential safety issues or customer concerns to a supervisor.</li><li>
Meet with staff at all levels to develop a common vision, discuss current needs, and plan for future Food &amp; Beverage functions.</li><li>
Handle cash and card transactions, ensure charges are accurate and return correct change to guests; balance the cash register.</li><li>
Take inventory and order liquors and supplies, while maintaining quality within proper price points and facility budget.</li><li>
Maintain a clean work area; remove trash, wash all glasses and equipment, and clean the bar area according to quality and safety procedures.</li><li>
Prepare beverages, supplies, and other bar setups for banquets and other functions.</li><li>

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:</b></p><ul><li>
High School diploma preferred.</li><li>
One year experience bartending, in a resort facility preferred.</li><li>
Must meet the state and federal minimum age requirement for serving alcohol.</li><li>
Current Food Handlers Card and TIPS&reg; Certification (Training for Intervention Procedures).</li><li>
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide; must be able to calculate discounts, and percentages</li><li>
Ability to contribute to a productive and friendly work environment by maintaining a positive attitude.</li><li>
Ability to speak effectively and present information to another person and in small group situations with guests and team members.</li><li>
Ability to provide direction to coworkers in a professional and friendly manner.</li><li>
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memorandums.</li><li>
Must be able to pay attention to details and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement is expected.</li><li>

This position typically operates in an indoor restaurant setting, but an employee may also be required to work on a patio or for an outdoor event, with exposure to outdoor weather conditions and occasionally native wildlife.
