<p><b>Job Summary:</b><br>
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager for our solar energy project to join us in leading the construction management of large-scale STU connected solar project , overseeing their construction from start to finish based at the project site. He will oversee all site operations, ensuring adherence to guidelines and standards, managing site administration, and assuming economic responsibility for material, personnel, and contract costs, meeting WHSE standards and compliance with BLE policy and procedures.</p>
<div><b>Job Responsibilities:</b><br>
<ul><li>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.</li><li>Oversee total construction effort to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. This includes interfacing with owners/lenders, engineers, government officials, subcontractors, landowners, local communities, security, etc.</li><li>Plan, coordinate and/or supervise activities of all company personnel on assigned projects at the site.</li><li>Ensure all company project policies, procedure standards, safety programs, etc., are adhered to.</li><li>Provide inputs and direction to PMO, SCM, WHSEQ and engineering functions as required.</li><li>Assist with the implementation/ interpretation of WHSEQ and community engagement programs.</li><li>Perform additional assignments per project management direction, which includes inputs for building project schedules, costing and risk assessment of new project opportunities.</li><li>Proficient in handling local issues and implementation and management of site infrastructure as required.</li><li>Coordinate with the Project manager and ensure all equipment, materials, contractors, and other resources are available on time.</li><li>Responsible for circulating daily MIS reports and activity plans for the next day/week based on the overall project plan.</li><li>Oversee operations on a day-to-day basis and ensure that work is done safely, on time, within budget, and to the right quality standards. Ensure that all the SOPs are followed, checklists are duly filled, Work Completion Certificates are signed, Toolbox Talks are conducted, and Attendance Registers are updated.</li><li>Inspect work in progress to ensure conformity with QA/QC specifications and requirements, Industry Codes, Standards and Procedures, and Client requirements.</li><li>Assist the project/ procurement managers in evaluating subcontractors or subcontractor bids for quality, cost, and reliability.</li><li>Responsible for clearing all the invoices &amp; ensuring that once approved, these are shared with the procurement/ accounts team with the supporting documents, viz. Work Completion Certificates, Checklists, Material Inspection Reports and Legal Registers (muster roll, wage register, PF/ ESIC receipts)</li><li>Communicate with utilities and authorities having jurisdictions regarding interconnection, permitting, and other regulatory compliance issues.</li><li>Identify the sources of likely local problems, proactively take preventive measures to avoid any potential project risks and determine response actions to mitigate any negative impact.</li><li>Coordinates with various project work packages to ensure the project is commissioned on time.</li><li>Ensure punch lists are prepared and tracked for completion in a timebound manner.</li><li>Handing over the operating plant to asset management, complete with all documentation per company standards.</li></ul></div>
<p><b>Skills and qualifications</b><br>
1. Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in electrical/mechanical/civil engineering<br>
2. Proven track record of around 10+ years of Solar project execution works of 100MW+ capacities and having overseen the commissioning<br>
3. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.<br>
4. Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (Technology, equipment, methods).<br>
5. Strong leadership and communication skills, with demonstrated problem-solving capability.</p></div><p></p>
