JOB SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the HR Manager in supporting designated geographic regions. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruiting, benefit administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance.
SALARY RANGE: $ 75,000 - 90,000 annually (Bay Area range)

</li></ul>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul>
<li>Administer various human resources plans and procedures for all of BNB&rsquo;s regions.</li>
<li>Provide primary support to recruitment effort for all exempt and non-exempt personnel, students, and temporary employees; including managing full range of company&rsquo;s recruiting services (career site, commercial recruiting services, external recruiters, employment agencies, and internal referral programs). Effectively administrative tasks to assure quality of candidate pool and effective communications with applicants, candidates, hiring managers and partners.
</li><li>Fulfill new employee onboarding duties as assigned.</li>
<li>Assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures;
</li><li>Monitor performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
</li><li>Administer and provide expert counsel on benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees.
</li><li>Perform all necessary filing and administration of human resource records, including employee files, and EEO-1 report.</li>
<li>Assist with new-employee orientations.</li>
<li>Serve as a resource to managers on managing performance and creating a high- performance work culture. Provide helpful behaviorally specific feedback; Share information and counsel others to be more successful; Provide effective coaching.
</li><li>Support employees in their efforts to excel in their role and achieve job goals (e.g., by providing resources, removing obstacles, serving as a buffer); Stay informed about employee&rsquo;s progress and performance through both formal methods (e.g. status reports) and informal methods (e.g. networking, being available/accessible, and observing). Deal firmly and promptly with performance challenges.</li>
<li>Handle employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing.
</li><li>Maintain Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database. Analyze people metrics.
</li><li>Maintain compliance with federal and CA regulations concerning employment.</li>
<li>In-depth knowledge and experience with work visa requirements, a plus.</li>
<li>Manage related vendor budget &amp; contracts (e.g., recruiting services, training providers, insurance providers).</li>
<li>Oversee training and development program.

</li></ul></li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS:
<ul>
<li>A bachelor's degree and 3 years of Human Resources experience, OR A master's degree in Human Resources Management and 1 year of experience in the HR field, OR 6 years of experience in the HR field, OR any similar combination of education and experience.
</li><li>HR Certification (PHR or SHRM-CP) required.</li>
<li>Ability to apply the principles and practices of human resource management to contribute to the success of the business; Core bodies of knowledge are employment, human resource development, total rewards, risk management, HR technology knowledge, and employee relations.</li>
<li>Strong analytical and negotiation skills. Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects with initiative.</li>
<li>Ability to stimulate enthusiasm and commitment in others to accomplish common objectives.</li>
<li>Ability to learn quickly; maintain professional demeanor in stressful situations, demonstrating service, courtesy and efficiency.
</li><li>Must have 2+ years of HRIS experience.</li>
<li>Must be proficient MS Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Excel and Word.</li>
<li>Previous experience and strong working knowledge in professional services or construction industry is preferred.</li>
<li>Experience working with labor unions preferred.</li>
</ul>

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, communicate, reach and manipulate objects, tools or controls. The position requires mobility. Duties involve moving materials weighing up to 10 pounds on a regular basis and up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis. Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 50% of the work period while operating equipment such as computer keyboard, mouse, calculator and similar machines.
