<p>Bobcat&rsquo;s Student Development Program recruits highly motivated college sophomores, juniors, and seniors majoring in engineering into the role of Engineering Intern Senior. In this internship experience, students work closely with top engineering mentors on high-level projects. Fully immersed in the business and field, students gain invaluable real-world engineering experience. The Student Development Program is a semester-based part-time internship with opportunity to extend multiple semesters. Prior experience in a Bobcat internship or co-op is required.</p><br>

</div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Role &amp; Responsibility</b></h2>
</div><div><p>Specifically, your internship may provide hands-on work in:</p>
<p>Design:</p>
<ul><li>Drive product development and improvement.</li>
<li>Generate and modify new and existing parts and drawings in Creo.</li>
<li>Manipulate Bill of Materials and preparing engineering change notices.</li>
<li>Build prototypes using Bobcat facilities.</li>
<li>Participate in design reviews.</li>
<li>Complete engineering calculations.</li>
</ul><p>Simulation:</p>
<ul><li>Support product development and improvement.</li>
<li>Utilize Ansys to conduct finite element analysis studies on parts.</li>
<li>Document results of simulation runs.</li>
<li>Identify areas of high stress and provide feedback on how to improve them.</li>
<li>Develop load cases that correlate test data to simulation data.</li>
<li>Validate simulation data with real world test data.</li>
<li>Follow industry updates to stay current with available simulation technology.</li>
</ul><p>Manufacturing:</p>
<ul><li>Execute product production and implement product improvements.</li>
<li>Utilize AutoCAD to develop process layouts.</li>
<li>Create and maintain standard work instructions.</li>
<li>Assist in identification, development, and implantation of automation technologies.</li>
<li>Create specialized machines, tooling, jigs, and fixtures to aid in product manufacturing.</li>
<li>Devise work arounds to mitigate part shortages.</li>
<li>Optimize process work content and head count to improve production performance.</li>
</ul><p>Test:</p>
<ul><li>Validate product development and improvement.</li>
<li>Instrument and operate various sensors to record data during testing.</li>
<li>Create test reports to accurately summarize the results of testing.</li>
<li>Analyze test data to draw relevant conclusions and determine performance.</li>
<li>Benchmark Bobcat products to determine performance relative to the industry and standards.</li>
<li>Present test findings to peers to support project progress.</li>
<li>Perform hands on work to prepare machines for testing.</li>
</ul><p>Quality:</p>
<ul><li>Maintain a high level of quality control for Bobcat products.</li>
<li>Analyze data to spot warranty trends and identify product issues.</li>
<li>Work with supplier to ensure supplied components meet engineering specifications.</li>
<li>Measure parts and components using various measurement technologies to ensure compliance.</li>
<li>Identify failure modes and root causes to drive product and process improvement.</li>
<li>Investigate new technologies that have the potential to improve product quality.</li>
<li>Collaborate with dealers and customers to determine areas of possible product improvement.</li>
</ul><p>Electrical:</p>
<ul><li>Support and improve product electrical systems.</li>
<li>Develop electrical harnesses to route signals throughout products.</li>
<li>Specify and layout electrical components.</li>
<li>Perform engineering calculations.</li>
<li>Create and revise electrical schematics.</li>
<li>Perform troubleshooting and debugging of electrical systems.</li>
<li>Support manufacturing and assembly of electrical components.</li>
</ul><p>Embedded:</p>
<ul><li>Develop and improve product software and embedded hardware.</li>
<li>Write, test, and debug code for Bobcat products.</li>
<li>Create coding tools to help with Bobcat product code development and deployment.</li>
<li>Participate in code reviews.</li>
<li>Specify hardware requirements for embedded systems.</li>
<li>Create and revise embedded schematics.</li>
<li>Test embedded systems to ensure proper function and machine integration.</li>
</ul></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Job Requirement</b></h2>
</div><div><ul><li>Education Standard: Pursuing Bachelors, Sophmore, Junior, or Senior standing</li>
<li>Education Type: Engineering- Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Agricultural Manufacturing or other Engineering/Industrial Technologies</li>
<li>GPA 3.0 or higher</li>
<li>Knowledge of CAD software preferred (Creo preferred or Solid Works)</li>
<li>Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite</li>
<li>Hands-on experience is a plus (farm, mechanic, hobby carpentry, etc.)</li>
<li>Project management skills is a plus</li>
<li>Be able to commit to Bobcat for the entire term of the internship (3-4 months) and be able to work 12-20 hours per week or 40 hours during the summer term</li>
<li>Previous co-op/intern experience with Bobcat is a requirement</li>
<li>Time management skills and the ability to work independently</li>
<li>Problem solving skills</li>

Weld together metal components of products as specified by layout, blueprints, diagrams, work orders, weld procedures or oral instructions, using electric arc-welding equipment or spot welder.</p>

Role &amp; Responsibility</b></h2>
</div><div><p>
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p>
<ul><li>Sets up electrode wire per procedure to prepare welding equipment for operation.</li>
<li>Positions and clamps work pieces together or assemble them in a jig or fixture.</li>
<li>Strikes arc and manually guides electrode or gun along weld line to form specified depth of fusion and bead.</li>
<li>Examines weld for bead size and other specifications.</li>
<li>Cleans or degreases weld joint or work piece using power equipment as needed.</li>
<li>Runs spot welder as needed insuring proper tips are used.</li>
<li>Insure spot welder tacks are secure and uniform without dimpling opposite surface.</li>
<li>Performs duties in a safe, efficient manner in compliance with safety rules and regulations.</li>
<li>Use side grinder to clean up all grinding splatter and insuring quality surfaces near weld zone.</li>
</ul>
<p>OTHER DUTIES:</p>
<ul><li>Keeps work area clean, orderly and maintain 5S schedule.</li>
<li>Required to fill out daily production sheets.</li>
<li>Required to accurately scan and record information in the Oracle inventory system.</li>
<li>Required to correctly identify and label parts for their specific area with correct quantity and location.</li>
<li>Perform quality checks as required.</li>
<li>Assists in the instruction and training of others as requested by supervisor.</li>
<li>Completes preventative maintenance and other duties as directed by Total Production Maintenance.</li>
<li>Perform other non-essential duties as assigned by management.</li>
