This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a collaborative setting while supporting the health and well-being of our community.Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist licensed pharmacists with medication preparation, including counting, labeling, and packaging prescriptions accurately.</li><li>Manage medication inventory levels, restocking supplies, and ensuring proper storage conditions for all pharmaceutical products.</li><li>Provide excellent patient service by answering questions about over-the-counter medications and guiding patients on medication usage under pharmacist supervision.</li><li>Support the intake process by verifying prescription information, processing refill requests, and updating patient records efficiently.</li><li>Maintain aseptic techniques during sterile compounding procedures such as IV infusion preparation to ensure safety and compliance with health standards.</li><li>Follow all protocols related to LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy settings and critical care environments, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines.</li><li>Collaborate with healthcare professionals in hospital or acute care settings to facilitate medication administration and optimize patient outcomes.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Strong understanding of medical terminology and pharmacy operations within retail, LTC, or hospital environments.</li><li>Experience with LTC pharmacy practices, IV infusion procedures, and aseptic technique protocols.</li><li>Critical care experience is highly desirable for managing complex medication regimens in acute settings.</li><li>Excellent patient service skills with a focus on patient care, intake procedures, and medication education.</li><li>Proven ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.</li><li>Knowledge of medication administration processes and pharmacy technician responsibilities across various healthcare settings.</li><li>Ability to communicate clearly with patients, healthcare providers, and team members to ensure safe medication practices.
