This paid position offers valuable hands-on experience in orthodontics, general dentistry, and patient care within a professional and supportive setting.Responsibilities<ul><li>Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies for orthodontic procedures</li><li>Assist orthodontists during various treatments, including bracket placement, adjustments, and appliance fittings</li><li>Take dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols and HIPAA regulations</li><li>Educate patients on orthodontic care instructions, appliance maintenance, and oral hygiene practices</li><li>Manage patient records accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems in Tops</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized workspace while following infection control standards and dental office protocols</li></ul>SkillsPrior orthodontic assisting experience recommended but not required.
