Job Title: Purchase Executive / Sr. Purchase EngineerSCM personnel is responsible for overseeing and managing the entire supply chain process of an organization, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of products. This role involves coordinating and optimizing all logistical aspects from procurement of raw materials to the final delivery of finished products.Department: Supply Chain ManagementReporting to: Head SCMOffice Location: ChennaiExperience: 2-5 Years of Relevant ExperienceQualification:Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or any equivalent.Bachelor's of Engineering in Mechanical/Electrical or any equivalent.Key Responsibilities &amp; Accountabilities:1. Procurement &amp; Purchasing:o Sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods, materials, and services to meet the company's operational requirements.o Ensure timely procurement and delivery of raw materials, consumables, and othersupplies as per production schedules.o Work closely with inventory control to determine and manage material needs.2. Supplier Coordination:o Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of goods and resolve any delaysor issues.o Maintain effective communication with suppliers to ensure a seamless supply chain.3. Supplier Management:o Maintain a comprehensive supplier database and keep records of purchase historyand supplier performance.o Evaluate supplier quotations to ensure compliance with technical specifications andcost targets.4. Documentation &amp; Compliance:o Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring compliance with company policiesand standards.o Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for audits and traceability.5. Cost Optimization:o Assist in cost reduction initiatives by identifying opportunities for savings in materialsand services procurement.6. Reporting &amp; Analysis:o Generate purchase and inventory reports using advanced Excel functions (pivottables, VLOOKUP, etc.).o Monitor and report key metrics such as supplier performance, delivery accuracy, andcost variances.7. Cross-functional Collaboration:o Coordinate with the production, planning, and quality assurance teams to meetoperational requirements.o Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize purchasing processes andsupplier relationships.Skills &amp; Expertise:- Procurement Knowledge: Experience in purchasing, supplier coordination, and supply chain operations.- Excel Proficiency: Strong command of MS Excel, including advanced functions like pivottables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis.- Communication &amp; Follow-ups: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for supplier follow-ups and cross-functional coordination.- Organization &amp; Time Management: Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.- Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills to achieve cost-effective procurement whilemaintaining quality and delivery standards.Additional Information:- The role requires a proactive individual with atiention to detail and the ability to workeffectively under deadlines.- Candidates should demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in managing multipleresponsibilities within the supply chain environment.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: &#8377;30,000.00 - &#8377;50,000.00 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Food provided</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Leave encashment</li><li>Paid sick time</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Provident Fund</li></ul>Work Location: In person
