<div>Seeking a Per Diem Medical Assistant Floater for BCHP's Pediatric Offices in Westchester, NY. Pay will $23/hr- $24/hr, negotiable based off experience. Schedule Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm. Must have reliable form of transportation and float to the BCHP core offices in Westchester as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
Organizational Duties and Responsibilities
<ul><li>Performs duties to support the goals and objectives of Boston Children's Health Physicians in its efforts to provide quality service and patient satisfaction</li>
<li>Demonstrate continuing education by completing all required annual trainings, as stated in the Training Curriculum, including but not limited to care coordination, population health management and self-management support techniques.</li>
<li>Complete annual corporate compliance training</li>
<li>Understand and effectively communicate HIPAA compliance, corporate compliance and client confidentiality</li>
<li>Ensure and/or remain in compliance with local, state and federal regulation</li></ul> 

Essential Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities
<ul><li>Create a patient-centered environment</li>
<li>Prepare rooms for the day</li>
<li>Escort patients to room; prepare patients for examinations</li>
<li>Record height/weight (head circ if age appropriate) and blood pressure for well visit; chart</li>
<li>Ask parent or patient about chief complaint and document</li>
<li>Perform vision and hearing screening as necessary and document in chart according to standing protocols</li>
<li>Gather proper immunizations at well visits, document in chart, and gain consent from parents</li>
<li>Perform strep tests and flu test swabs, record results in the chart, and charge for the procedures</li>
<li>Perform fingerstick lead, hemoglobin, and cholesterol tests according to standing protocols, document results in chart, and bill for procedure</li>
<li>Perform venipuncture when requested by providers</li>
<li>Assist doctors as needed with sick visits, as well as well-child visits</li>
<li>Clean and restock rooms and equipment</li>
<li>Relay messages as may be required by physicians</li>
<li>Prepare for urine culture and analysis</li>
<li>Prepare for strep tests and all other laboratory tests</li>
<li>Assist doctor and nurses with procedures</li>
<li>Prepare instruments for sterilization</li>
<li>Record overnight culture results in chart</li>
<li>Check and chart temps in fridge and incubator</li>
<li>Record culture results in chart</li>
<li>Track lab results</li>
<li>Enter procedures done into the superbill</li>
<li>Reviews and downloads the CHADIS results and enters into chart</li>
<li>Print developmental sheets for failed milestones in CHADIS and leave in room for patient</li>
<li>Act as medical assistant for visiting subspecialists and perform diagnostic tests for them as required</li>
<li>Operate according to standard orders and standing protocols</li>
<li>Enter all charges into superbill</li>
<li>Provide care in a patient-centered manner</li>
<li>Attend medical home meetings</li>
<li>Participate in pre-visit planning</li>
<li>Demonstrate excellence in both internal and external customer service</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned</li>

Per Diem Medical Assistant Floater

<div>Seeking a Medical Assistant for BCHP's Pediatric office in Yonkers, NY. Schedule will be Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm with rotating Saturday morning shifts. Pediatric MA experience is preferred. Bilingual proficiency with English and Spanish preferred.
Pay rate is $20/hr-$22/hr, negotiable based on experience.

Medical Assistant

<div>Boston Children&rsquo;s Health Physicians is seeking a motivated individual with a commitment to excellence to coordinate research and quality improvement projects as part of the Pediatric Critical Care Medicine (PCCM) division. The research coordinator must be self-sufficient when required, detail-oriented, respectful of confidential information, comfortable in a medical environment and have strong communication skills. An applicant should be able to work 40 hours per week. The hours are mostly flexible with the likelihood of working on some weekends. A minimum of a 1 year commitment is required due to the need for training. Pay rate $20/hr-$20.25/hr, negotiable based on experience.
Key Functions and Expected Performances:
<ul><li>Assist in implementation of various research and quality improvement studies</li>
<li>Maintain understanding of all research protocols</li>
<li>Maintain understanding of quality and safety improvement initiatives</li>
<li>Collect data material as it becomes available at various established intervals</li>
<li>Accurately collect and maintain complete data in accordance with the needs of the quality improvement initiative, unit information, or research study</li>
<li>Demonstrate professional and courteous communication with patients, families, physicians, hospitals, government agencies, and other organizations to collect the necessary data and coordinate information flow</li>
<li>Maintain all regulatory documents and IRB compliance for required studies</li>
<li>Manage data records, learn and perform data analysis, and create reports</li>
<li>Use various computer programs to aid in designing forms and reports</li>
</ul>
Basic Qualifications:
<ul><li>High school graduate required, Bachelors preferred.</li>
<li>Experience is preferred but not a requirement.</li>
<li>Applicant must be flexible and quickly trainable. The applicant must have excellent computer skills.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Skills and Experiences:
<ul><li>Previous experience in medical information abstraction preferred. Experience in Excel and Word.</li>
<li>Previous experience with human subject research a plus.</li>
</ul>
