As <b>Patient and Insurance Accounts Receivable </b>- Medical Billing of CHM you will be liable to perform the following job duties:<ul><li>
Collect, post, and manage patient account payments.</li><li>
Submit claims to insurance.</li><li>
Prepare and review patient statements.</li><li>
Review delinquent accounts and call for collection purposes.</li><li>
Process payments from insurance companies.</li><li>
Maintain strict confidentiality.</li><li>
Code patient services and enter into the computer.</li><li>
Sort and file paperwork.</li><li>
Ensure healthcare facilities are reimbursed for all procedures.</li><li>
Handle information about patient treatment, diagnosis, and related procedures to ensure proper coding.</li><li>
Know several different coding systems, including Level 1 HCPCS and Level 2 HCPCS.</li><li>
Use computers to read and organize charts.</li><li>
Follow up to see if a claim is accepted or denied.</li><li>
Investigate rejected claims to see why denial was issued.</li><li>
Investigate insurance fraud and report if found</li><li>
Maintaining Medical Bills of the Patients online on the Medical Billing Software</li><li>
Direct conversation with the Health Insurance Companies to Collect the Patients Insurance Detail.</li><li>
Verify all demographic and insurance information in patient registration of the practice management system at the time of charge entry to ensure accuracy.</li><li>
Timely and error free medical bills entry into the practice management system in accordance with the practice(s)</li><li>
protocols with an emphasis on accuracy to ensure timely reimbursement.</li><li>
Post all insurance payments into the practice management system in accordance with the practice(s) protocols with an emphasis on accuracy.</li><li>
Clearing house rejections need to be rectified in a timely manner.</li><li>
File all charge, payment and adjustment batches in the appropriate format by batch date for quick reference.</li><li>
Ensuring client satisfaction by an effective and regular follow-up on all outstanding claims to maximize the collection of practice. Ensure the quality of service, timeliness and accuracy in the entire billing cycle.</li><li>
Swift and accurate remedial actions on claims denied by healthcare insurances.</li><li>
Independent and timely communication with insurances to ensure steady stream of clients&rsquo; cash flow.</li><li>
Understanding of relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and working towards positive results for the assigned clients against all KPIs. Maintaining patient confidentiality and information security.</li><li>
Keeping the immediate supervisor aware of all-important issues of assigned clients. Perform additional duties as requested by the Supervisory or Management team.</li></ul></div><ul><li><div><b>
