JOB SUMMARY: 
The RN / GN must have the skill and knowledge to provide population specific care from newborn through age 105. He/she must have the ability to assess, evaluate, identify, and interpret the requirement and needs of the patients and perform based on those findings.
 
The RN / GN reports directly to Charge Nurse/Assistant Director/Director of Perioperative Services.
 
QUALIFICATIONS: 
Education: 
RN graduate of Accredited School of Nursing.
 
Licensure/Certification: 
Must have a valid, current license by the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
 PALS certification required if working PACU.
 ACLS certification if caring for patients having procedures with sedation.
 BLS Certification required.
 
Work Experience: 
Prefer one year experience as medical/surgical staff nurse.
 Successful completion of hospital orientation.
 Membership in professional organization desirable.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES: 
Demonstrates the knowledge of needs and task for SDS/PACU/Endo such as assessments, obtaining patient history, critical thinking skills, notifying physician as needed, specimens, handwashing, etc.
 
Holds self and other staff members accountable and responsible for work performance and continuous improvement of patient in his/her work area and throughout the hospital.
 
Ensures self-compliance with professional, regulatory and government standards of care.
 
Demonstrates teamwork through communication, cooperation, coordination, and conflict resolution with others and implementing multidisciplinary actions to provide continuity of care.
 
Ensures the satisfactory completion of clinical procedures, documentation, educational and procedural teaching of the patient and their significant other/parent before and after surgery.
 
Other duties as assigned.

<div><div>JOB SUMMARY: 
 
The Dietetics Custodian performs a variety of custodial duties such as; sweeping, mopping, trash &amp; grease disposal and cleaning assigned areas. Unpacks, stores and stocks dietary supplies according to safe and sanitary standards, and inspects for any damaged merchandise when unloading supplies. Delivers and returns racks and food trucks to and from patient floor areas. Inventories food/meat freezer items, works as a team player, and assists with new personnel training. Will follow BRHC and Dietetics Department policies &amp; procedures. 
 
The Dietetics Custodian reports directly to Dietetics Supervisor. 
 
QUALIFICATIONS: 
 
Education: 
Able to read, write and follow both oral/written directions.
 
Licensure/Certification: 
None required. 
 
Work Experience: 
Previous custodial and stockroom experience desirable. 
Will provide on-the-job training. 
 
 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES: 
 
Routinely cleans and maintains safety &amp; sanitation standards of storerooms, coolers, freezers, production areas, cafeteria/patient serving areas, bathrooms, department offices and floors using proper cleaning equipment &amp; chemicals.

Delivering and returning food trucks and racks to and from patient floor areas by observing safety and sanitation standards.
 
 
Accurately and efficiently does weekly inventory of freezers, storing and/or unpacking all incoming purchases &amp; requisitions by rotating stock and maintaining stock levels in specific work areas. Brings out and returns meat items from freezer into cooler for thawing purposes following sanitation/safety standards.
 
 
Removal of all department/cafeteria trash, grease, glass, china and aerosols per BRHC and Dietetics Department policies &amp; procedures. Follows assigned cleaning schedules for Dietetics Department.
 
 
Obtains/changes soda and CO2 tanks for cafeteria as needed and performs all duties on the department worksheets.
 
 
Other duties as assigned.
