The Cleaner is responsible for ensuring that all library facilities and furnishings remain clean, safe, and in good working condition. This position performs routine and specialized housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean, welcoming, and visually appealing environment for patrons and staff. This position works in a larger collaborative team of other cleaning professionals.
We are hiring for multiple .5FTE (20 hours per week), non-exempt, at-will positions. This position may occasionally work at other locations and will work nights, weekends, and after library hours. 
Essential Functions:<ul><li>
Facility Cleaning &amp; Maintenance (80%)</li><li>
Clean, dust, and sweep public and staff areas.</li><li>
Mop, vacuum, shampoo, steam-clean, wax, and polish floors and carpets.</li><li>
Deep clean restrooms and restock supplies.</li><li>
Clean public computers, keyboards, and computer mice.</li><li>
Clean offices, meeting rooms, break rooms, and other staff spaces.</li><li>
Dispose of trash, recycling, and compost.</li><li>
Facility Monitoring &amp; Reporting (20%)</li><li>
Maintain awareness of building conditions and report needed or anticipated repairs to the supervisor.</li><li>
Report any damage found, including issues with light bulbs, safety devices, and security equipment batteries.</li></ul>
Additional Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Order and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies.</li><li>
Sweep and remove trash from the interior and exterior main entrances.</li><li>
Perform light snow and ice removal as needed.</li></ul>

Work Environment:

Work may involve exposure to hazards or physical risks; adherence to safety protocols is required. Must be able to climb ladders up to 10 feet and maintain balance.

Job Summary: The BoulderReads Literacy Coordinator administers literacy programs, manages systems, data and communications to support the BoulderReads program. The coordinator leads the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the High School Equivalency (HSE) classes.
This is a grant-funded, non-exempt, temporary position that will work from May 2026 &ndash; December 2026. Continuation of the role beyond that date is contingent upon further funding.
Essential Functions:<ul><li>
Coordinates High School Equivalency (HSE) classes and HSE sessions and is in charge of day-to-day admin tasks (80%):</li><li>
Coordination and communication with contracted teachers about attendance, materials, test readiness, and changes in HSE policies</li><li>
Coordination of sign-ups, open houses, and manage timelines and tasks related to recruitment of learners</li><li>
Coordination of the HiSet volunteers</li><li>
Implement semester-based schedules including room scheduling, ordering supplies, and attendance</li><li>
Coordination of learners&rsquo; official practice test and official tests registrations and tracking of learners&rsquo; progress towards graduation</li><li>
Implementation of evaluation surveys and sharing findings and feedback</li></ul>
Additional Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Supports BoulderReads administratively with tasks such as public inquiries, program website and library calendar updates, or ordering supplies (10%).</li><li>
Support the program&rsquo;s collaboration and communication with partner organizations by sharing BoulderReads information and attending meetings as needed (10%).</li></ul>
Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>
Education: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree and minimum of two years of work experience in education, literacy, or library programs that support non-traditional adult, diverse, and/or English language learners.</li><li>
Skills: Demonstrated effective communication and customer service to serve a variety of people. Proficient with MS Word, Excel, volunteer management databases, data management, mobile technology, and applications to schedule, email, conduct data entry, maintain records, and create multimedia presentations.</li><li>
Experience coordinating programs and managing logistics for numerous projects at the same time. Highly organized and has the ability to adapt as needed.</li></ul>
Preferred Qualifications: Spanish language skills and/or experience working with patrons from a variety of ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Experience supporting programs that engage adult English language learners. Familiarity with adult assessment and instruction methods. Works well with diverse personalities and departments. Adjust to changing priorities and team dynamics. Remains calm and constructive under pressure. Approaches challenges with optimism and enthusiasm.
Working Conditions:
Light work in an office environment and periodically meetings and outreach in the community at community organizations&rsquo; offices and events.
