Job Summary 
We are seeking a First year Family Law Associate to join our Virginia practice in Alexandria, VA. The ideal candidate is a self-starter seeking to develop or begin their family law litigation practice and grow into a leadership/management position. 
 
 
Job Description 
 
<ul><li>Provide exceptional representation to clients in the firm's Virginia practice</li>
<li>Proactively manage assigned family law cases through all stages of representation</li>
<li>Serve as co-counsel to senior attorneys on more complex matters</li>
<li>Provide superior customer service to all clients including monthly status reports and bi-weekly reviews of cases</li>
<li>Make improvement recommendations to partners and practice managers</li>
</ul>
 
Job Requirements 
 
<ul><li>J.D. from an accredited law school</li>
<li>Must be an active member in good standing with the Virginia State Bar</li>
<li>License in Maryland or the District of Columbia is a plus (not required)</li>
<li>0 - 1 years of legal experience</li>
<li>Participation in trial advocacy classes/trial team in law school is a plus</li>
