<div><div><div>Job Title: Medical Technologist (Medical Laboratory Scientist) MLS or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
Position Summary:

As a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), you will leverage your technical and problem-solving skills to perform a wide range of tests&mdash;both manual and automated&mdash;in our clinical laboratory.
For Medical Technologists (MTs):
<ul><li>MTs conduct complex tests and troubleshooting, evaluate methods, and maintain quality management and safety programs.</li>
<li>Strong communication skills are essential for collaboration with healthcare teams and regulatory agencies.</li>
<li>An in-depth understanding of the biochemical and pathophysiologic basis for laboratory procedures is required for effective result interpretation and correlation.</li>
</ul>
For Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLTs):
<ul><li>MLTs perform highly complex testing under the guidance of an MT and must also engage in troubleshooting and quality management.</li>
<li>MLTs should possess strong communication skills and a solid understanding of laboratory procedures to ensure effective collaboration and result interpretation.</li>
</ul>
Key Responsibilities for Both Roles:
<ul><li>Perform laboratory tests according to established protocols with limited supervision.</li>
<li>Properly collect, handle, process, and store specimens.</li>
<li>Operate computer-integrated and networked laboratory instruments.</li>
<li>Compare test results to reference ranges and exercise independent judgment regarding reportability.</li>
<li>Participate in performance improvement initiatives and communicate resource needs for budgeting.</li>
<li>Uphold privacy and demonstrate respect for patients, families, visitors, and colleagues.</li>
</ul>
Notice Requirement: A 30-day notice is required upon resignation.
Education Requirements:
<ul><li>Medical Technologist (MT): Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in medical technology or a related science, with completion of a 12-month accredited medical technology training program.
</li><li>Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT): Associate degree and completion of an accredited medical laboratory technician program.
</li></ul>Certification:
<ul><li>Required: None</li>
<li>Preferred: ASCP, AAB, AMT</li>
</ul>
Experience:
<ul><li>Required: None</li>
<li>Preferred: Two years of experience in various laboratory disciplines.</li>
</ul>
Additional Requirements:
<ul><li>Upon hire, provide a copy of your Immunization Record and disclose your current influenza immunization.</li>
<li>All offers of employment are subject to a background check and drug screen.</li>
</ul>
