<div>Summary 
 
The Boys &amp; Girls Clubs of Central and Northern New Hampshire is a dynamic organization that currently supports 200 staff working in 30 Early Childhood and Out of School Time programs with a large geographic footprint. We have a unique opening at the Mary Stuart Gile Early Learning Center on the campus of NHTI in Concord. As a laboratory school, the Mary Stuart Gile Early Learning Center is a demonstration setting for best practices in early childhood education, with student teachers working alongside staff in classrooms.
 
 
We are seeking energetic, organized, and experienced early childhood educators to help students grow in the field while providing high-quality, emergent curriculum for young children. We currently have an opening for a full-time Associate Teacher position. The Associate Teacher position is responsible for upholding and implementing the BGCCNNH mission, supporting children and teachers, and ensuring the health and safety of the children. Some key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: actively engaging with children, assisting with cleaning and organizing the classroom, and documenting child observations. Must present interest in and willingness to learn child development and health and safety practices. 
 
 
 
Duties 
 
Prepare Youth for Success 
Creates an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes:
 
<ul><li>Responds sensitively to the interests, requests, and needs of individual children, interacts positively with children, encourages exploration, and uses positive child guidance strategies.
</li><li>Provide guidance and role modeling to Club members by planning and outlining curriculum to meet the individual needs of youth by incorporating elements of an emergent curriculum.
</li><li>Establishes and maintains program goals to ensure the health and safety of all members.
</li><li>May ensure the evaluation of Club programs continually, including tracking outcome metrics; verify that programs/activities respond to member needs and address their gender and cultural diversity.
</li><li>Uses child observation notes as a tool for curriculum planning, keeps accurate and up-to-date records.
</li><li>Continuously accounts for the members in their assigned group by name and face.</li><li>Oversees implementation of NAEYC standards and GSQ (when applicable), Culture DNA code, as well as BGCCNNH and CCLU rules and policies regarding safety, compliance, and best practices.</li><li>Dispenses medications according to company policy, administers first aid as needed; communicates all occurrences to families.</li><li>Oversees and assists in cleaning, organizing, and maintaining classroom well-being and upkeep.
</li></ul>Program Development, Implementation, and Supervision 
<ul><li>Oversees proper record-keeping and weekly reporting, including activities and events conducted in the membership/finance system. Will provide data for input to a Center Director or other applicable staff.</li><li>Facilitates open and effective, professional verbal and written communication with families, staff, and children.</li><li>Supervises classroom staff, students, and volunteers; provides regular feedback about job performance.
</li><li>Supports volunteers, practicum students, and staff through modeling techniques and strategies that connect theory to practice.</li><li>May lead planning meetings with the teaching team.
</li><li>May increase the visibility of Club programs via daily schedule postings, announcements of upcoming events through different social media channels, family emails, etc.

Requirements 
 
<ul><li>Must be an associate teacher qualified before November 6, 2017, have a minimum of 9 credits in related coursework or have a minimum of 1000 hours of supervised child care experience in a licensed child care program, and knowledge of child growth and development obtained through one of the following: a. Completion of a high school level 2-year career and technical education course in teacher education; b. A 3-credit college course in child or human growth and development; c. Thirty hours of training in child growth and development, granted by an accredited college or university, an authorized provider of the International Association for Continuing Education and Training, or obtained through documented life experience, including experience with the same age children, the associate teacher supervises, such as a family child care provider, service as a foster parent, work as a school teacher, work as a camp counselor and experience as a group leader for children in sports or other activities, such as scouts or little league, or closely related experience.</li><li>Must be 18 years of age or older.</li><li>Knowledge of current methods, principles, and techniques of teaching.
</li><li>Knowledge of curriculum development and application.
</li><li>Ability to plan and implement quality programs; proven track record of creative and artistic teaching strategies.</li><li>Ability to form developmentally appropriate relationships with children and promote positive behavior.
</li><li>Ability to motivate members and manage behavior problems with patience.</li><li>Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.</li><li>Ability to communicate with staff, families, and community members in a variety of methods.

Associate Teacher-Mary Stuart Gile Early Learning Center

The Boys &amp; Girls Clubs of Central and Northern New Hampshire is a dynamic organization that currently supports 200 staff working in 30 Early Childhood and Out of School Time programs with a large geographic footprint. The Regional Development Associate serves as a member of the Development Team and will assist in increasing revenue to support the organization&rsquo;s mission and strategic plan in their assigned geographic regions. The Regional Development Associate reports directly to the Director of Individual and Planned Giving and collaborates with the Development Team to meet their metrics within the assigned geographic region. 
OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE

Learns and operates the assigned stages of the sustainable fundraising model that the Boys &amp; Girls Clubs of Central and Northern New Hampshire has followed. Emphasis on but not limited to:</li><li>
Researching, identifying, and contacting donor prospects.</li><li>
Creates and enhances relationships with donor prospects.</li><li>
Maintains relationships with existing donors through regular contact and the provision of annual reports.
</li><li>Ensures clear and concise data entry in the donor management system.</li><li>
Participating in seminars and workshops to expand knowledge of the field.</li><li>
Attending networking events within the assigned geographic region.</li>
Attending organizational events within the assigned geographic region and beyond as needed.

Leadership 
<ul><li>
Provides effective communication with the development team.</li><li>
Works towards creating sustainable funding for the organization in individual giving to support the strategic plan.
</li><li>To include, but not limited to, collaborating with the manager on Discovery Hours (DH)</li><li>
Provides handwritten correspondence, digital communications, personal phone calls, and face-to-face interactions with community members and potential donor prospects.</li><li>
Maintains effective and professional working relationships with all Club staff.</li></ul> 
Maintaining Donor Relations 
<ul><li>
Engages in conversations with local staff and community members to build local stories that revolve around our core beliefs (Positive Environments, Provide Fun and a Sense of Belonging, Supportive Relationships, Opportunities and Expectations, and Recognition).</li><li>
Builds local committees for ongoing communication about potential guests for DH&rsquo;s.</li><li>
Holds at least two DH&rsquo;s per month within the assigned geographical area. With a follow-up of 100% of guests in attendance via phone call or in-person meeting.
</li><li>Creates a plan for each donor that is driven by that donor&rsquo;s passions and interests.</li><li>
Assists in recruiting Table Captains for the Champions for Kids Breakfasts in the community.</li><li>
Secures commitments of participation or donation from individuals or corporate donors.</li><li>
Solicits cash or in-kind donations or sponsorships from individuals, and businesses for fundraising events.</li><li>
Qualifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards individual gifts through personalized contacts including phone calls, correspondence, and personal visits with assigned donors.</li><li>
Creates, executes, and participates in donor events as assigned to promote organizational goals, or solicit donations or sponsorships when needed.</li></ul> 
Administration 
<ul><li>
Maintains donor database, coordinating efforts with other development staff.</li><li>
Maintains strong and accurate records of activities, as directed by team protocol using the database.</li><li>
Adheres to professionalism in fundraising best practices.
</li><li>Provides reports, or prepares presentations, to communicate individual &amp; planned giving program data to the Director of Individual &amp; Planned Giving.</li><li>
Handles other individual giving responsibilities as needed.</li></ul> 
Relationships 
Internal: Maintains contact with the Development Team, Club staff, and Club members 
External: Maintains contact with potential and current donors, external community groups, and others as required. 
 
Requirements 
<ul><li>
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.</li><li>
Experience in fund development/administrative management in a nonprofit agency is preferred.</li><li>
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.</li><li>
Strong project management, administrative, and organizational skills.</li><li>
Strong attention to detail.</li><li>
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs.</li><li>
Ability to set clear team goals, manage multiple tasks, and develop solutions to problems with limited supervision.</li><li>

Knowledge of accessing and managing donor databases. Salesforce experience preferred.</li><li>

The Lead Teacher position is responsible for upholding and implementing the BGC mission, supporting children&rsquo;s learning, and ensuring the health and safety of all children. Knowledge of child development, developmentally appropriate practice, emergent curriculum, and child assessment are paramount for this position.

Responds sensitively to the interests, requests, and needs of individual children, and interacts positively

<ul><li>Provides guidance and role modeling to Club members by planning and outlining curriculum to meet 
</li></ul> the individual needs of youth by incorporating elements of an emergent curriculum.<ul><li> 
Establishes and maintains program goals to ensure the health and safety of all members. 
</li><li>Ensures the evaluation of Club programs on a continual basis, including tracking outcome metrics; verifies that programs/activities respond to member needs and address their gender and cultural diversity. 
</li><li>Uses child observation notes as a tool for curriculum planning, and keeps accurate and up-to-date records. 
</li><li>Continuously accounts for the members in their assigned group by name and face.</li><li> 
Oversees implementation of NAEYC standards and GSQ (when applicable), Culture DNA code as well as BGCCNNH and CCLU rules and policies regarding safety, compliance, and best practices.</li><li> 
Dispenses medications according to company policy, administers first aid as needed; and communicates this to families. 
</li><li>Oversees and assists in cleaning, organizing, and maintaining classroom well-being and upkeep.</li></ul> 
 
Program Development, Implementation, and Supervision<ul><li> 
Oversees proper record-keeping and weekly reporting, including activities and events conducted in the membership/finance system. Will provide data for input to a Center Director or other applicable staff.</li><li> 
Facilitates open and effective, professional verbal and written communication with families, staff, and children.</li><li> 
Supervises classroom staff, students, and volunteers; provides regular feedback about job performance. 
</li><li>Supports volunteers, practicum students, and staff through modeling techniques and strategies that connect theory to practice.</li><li> 
May lead planning meetings with the teaching team. 
</li><li>Increases visibility of Club programs via daily schedule postings, announcements of upcoming events through different social media channels, family emails, etc. 
</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul> 
RELATIONSHIPS: 
Internal: Maintains professional, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer), Club members, families, students, and supervisors to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain guidelines/ instructions; instruct; and advise/counsel. 
External: Maintains contact with external community groups, schools, members' parents, and others to assist in resolving problems when required. 
 
Requirements<ul><li> 
Must be a lead teacher qualified (18 credits) with two years of experience in Early Childhood Education or a similar field. Must be 18 years of age or older and have a minimum of 1,000 hours working in a licensed program.</li><li> 
Knowledge of current methods, principles, and techniques of teaching.</li><li> 
Knowledge of curriculum development and application.</li><li> 
Ability to plan and implement quality programs; proven track record of creative and artistic teaching strategies.</li><li> 
Ability to form developmentally appropriate relationships with children and promote positive behavior.</li><li> 
Ability to motivate members and manage behavior problems with patience.</li><li> 
Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.</li><li>
