Become part of a top-notch team as a lead teacher. We are excited to offer a full-time position at the Eastman Center in Concord, NH. This is a great opportunity to work closely with a growing organization, with lots of opportunities to grow. The right individual will be enthusiastic, caring, and possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and 18 or more ECE credits. Responsibilities include planning, implementing, supervising, and establishing a nurturing classroom environment that promotes the social, emotional, cognitive, creative, physical, and linguistic development of members in cooperative involvement with their families. 
 
 
 
Duties 
 
Prepare Youth for Success 
 Creates an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes:
 
<ul><li>Responds sensitively to the interests, requests, and needs of individual children, interacts positively with children, encourages exploration, and uses positive child guidance strategies.
</li><li>Provides guidance and role modeling to Club members by planning and outlining curriculum to meet the individual needs of youth by incorporating elements of an emergent curriculum.</li><li>Establishes and maintains program goals to ensure the health and safety of all members.
</li><li>Ensures the evaluation of Club programs on a continual basis, including tracking outcome metrics; verifies that programs/activities respond to member needs and address their gender and cultural diversity.
</li><li>Uses child observation notes as a tool for curriculum planning, keeps accurate and up-to-date records.
</li><li>Continuously accounts for the members in their assigned group by name and face.</li><li>Oversees implementation of NAEYC standards and GSQ (when applicable), Culture DNA code as well as BGCCNNH and CCLU rules and policies regarding safety, compliance, and best practices.</li><li>Dispenses medications according to company policy, administers first aid as needed; communicates this to families.
</li><li>Oversees and assists in cleaning, organizing, and maintaining classroom well-being and upkeep.
</li></ul> 
Program Development, Implementation, and Supervision 
<ul><li>Oversees proper record-keeping and weekly reporting, including activities and events conducted in the membership/finance system. Will provide data for input to a Center Director or other applicable staff.</li><li>Facilitates open and effective, professional verbal and written communication with families, staff, and children.</li><li>Supervises classroom staff, students, and volunteers; provides regular feedback about job performance.
</li><li>Supports volunteers, practicum students, and staff through modeling techniques and strategies that connect theory to practice.</li><li>May lead planning meetings with the teaching team.
</li><li>Increases visibility of Club programs via daily schedule postings, announcements of upcoming events through different social media channels, family emails, etc.
</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul> 

Requirements 
 
<ul><li>Must be a lead teacher qualified (18 credits) with two years of experience in Early Childhood Education or a similar field. Must be 18 years of age or older and have a minimum of 1,000 hours working in a licensed program.
</li><li>Knowledge of current methods, principles, and techniques of teaching.
</li><li>Knowledge of curriculum development and application.
</li><li>Ability to plan and implement quality programs; proven track record of creative and artistic teaching strategies.</li><li>Ability to form developmentally appropriate relationships with children and promote positive behavior.
</li><li>Ability to motivate members and manage behavior problems with patience.</li><li>Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.</li><li>Ability to communicate with staff, families, and community members in a variety of methods.
</li><li>Must be willing to maintain an appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities.
</li><li>Must be willing to adapt to different learning styles.</li><li>Must obtain CPR and First Aid Certifications per Bureau of Childcare licensing requirements.
</li><li>May be required to drive the Club van/short bus periodically.</li><li>Must possess a safe driving record and submit a copy of such record to either the Operations Director or human resources department.</li><li>Required to assist in cleaning and organizing the Club.</li><li>Must maintain confidentiality.
</li><li>Must be willing to travel between locations when requested. (Only occasional travel is required)</li></ul>

Lead Toddler Teacher- Eastman Early Learning Center

<div>Summary 
 
The Boys &amp; Girls Clubs of Central and Northern New Hampshire is a dynamic organization that currently supports 200 staff working in 30 Early Childhood and Out of School Time programs with a large geographic footprint. We have a unique opening at the Mary Stuart Gile Early Learning Center on the campus of NHTI in Concord. As a laboratory school, the Mary Stuart Gile Early Learning Center is a demonstration setting for best practices in early childhood education, with student teachers working alongside staff in classrooms.
 
 
We are seeking energetic, organized, and experienced early childhood educators to help students grow in the field while providing high-quality, emergent curriculum for young children. We currently have an opening for a full-time Associate Teacher position. The Associate Teacher position is responsible for upholding and implementing the BGCCNNH mission, supporting children and teachers, and ensuring the health and safety of the children. Some key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: actively engaging with children, assisting with cleaning and organizing the classroom, and documenting child observations. Must present interest in and willingness to learn child development and health and safety practices.

Requirements 
 
<ul><li>Must be an associate teacher qualified before November 6, 2017, have a minimum of 9 credits in related coursework or have a minimum of 1000 hours of supervised child care experience in a licensed child care program, and knowledge of child growth and development obtained through one of the following: a. Completion of a high school level 2-year career and technical education course in teacher education; b. A 3-credit college course in child or human growth and development; c. Thirty hours of training in child growth and development, granted by an accredited college or university, an authorized provider of the International Association for Continuing Education and Training, or obtained through documented life experience, including experience with the same age children, the associate teacher supervises, such as a family child care provider, service as a foster parent, work as a school teacher, work as a camp counselor and experience as a group leader for children in sports or other activities, such as scouts or little league, or closely related experience.</li><li>Must be 18 years of age or older.</li><li>Knowledge of current methods, principles, and techniques of teaching.
</li><li>Knowledge of curriculum development and application.
