Special Education Paraprofessional at Emily Dickinson Elementary School - .875 FTESalary Range: Grade SPED D: $18.90 - $20.27/hr. DOE or current placement on salary schedule. Benefits AvailableDescription:This position is a part of a team of staff working primarily in a special education setting with additional support provided in inclusion and general education classrooms. The aide will collaborate closely with the supervising teacher as well as with the general education teachers in support of student success. Responsibilities will include tutoring and supervision of students at all grade levels in a variety of settings within the school.Qualifications:Previous experience of working with students, particularly students with learning challenges, is preferred. Valuable attributes include patience, flexibility, initiative, problem-solving, creativity, and a student-centered mindset. Strong communication skills are very valuable.
