About the role
The Retail Gas Portfolio Manager will facilitate and transact all retail commercial and industrial natural gas customer hedge activity, with responsibility for regional customer pricing, associated hedges, portfolio optimization and risk management. This individual will identify optimization opportunities in the portfolio and work with affiliate business units and functional groups to manage energy products for the customer portfolio and deploy innovative solutions that leverage fundamental analysis, advanced analytics and market acumen.
Key Responsibilities
Execute strategy for market access, price discovery and transaction execution in approved products for bpERC natural gas internal and external clients
Hedge and optimize activity around bpERC&rsquo;s retail natural gas customer portfolio
Maintain and provide transactable prices for approved tradable products as well as market information to the bpERC retail pricing and operational functions, sales persons and customers
Research new products and develop strategy to optimize and hedge in bpERC operable markets
Support and manage forecasted load deviations and exposures in prompt and cash months
Optimize portfolio assets and obligations such as supply, interstate transport and storage
Work closely with bpEC&rsquo;s wholesale trading desk for price discovery and execution
Price, manage, and book deals consisting of a variety of standard and non-standard products
Manage the risk associated with a standard and non-standard product portfolio while adhering to allocated risk limits
Identify structured supply or customer opportunities and participate in closing transactions when necessary
Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing team to help guide their efforts to provide opportunities that are aligned with trading ideas and geographic locations
Build and maintain databases as necessary
Understand and comply with all internal policies as well as those of CFTC, SEC, FERC, and any other regulatory body or exchange
Essential education, experience and requirements
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required in business, marketing or quantitative field such as math, statistics, IT, quantitative finance or engineering
Mid level experience or comparable skills of energy trading and portfolio management and optimization, retail/wholesale customer pricing and hedging
Strong working knowledge of the C&amp;I retail gas industry and wholesale energy complex
High level of proficiency in Excel and ability to work within the Endur ETRM
Analytical skills required for pricing, risk assessment and transaction structuring
Strong individual contributor with consultative style and aptitude for collaboration and teamwork
Skilled at working across multi-disciplinary functions and departments including sales, physical operations and risk management

About the role</b></p><p>
Works with cross functional teams of sales, operations, marketing, GBS, finance, control in the cluster and PU level (when required) to implement the 4 elements of the pricing agenda across designated geographies.</p><p>
The role is responsible for enabling improved performance through effective and efficient pricing and performance management across the business in the assigned geographies, using all systems available.</p><p></p><p><b>

Identify pricing gaps, commercial risks, and performance opportunities; collaboratively define data-driven and measurable initiatives with cross-functional teams to improve Brand, Customer, and Country performance.</p></li><li><p>
Leverage advanced analytics, automation, and AI-enabled insights to proactively identify trends, anomalies, risks, and commercial optimization opportunities.</p></li><li><p>
Drive a continuous improvement mentality by challenging existing pricing practices, simplifying processes, and identifying scalable opportunities through digitalization and intelligent automation.</p></li><li><p>
