Description: Member Service Representative who will provide excellent quality service to current and potential members, team members, and businesses via face-to-face, telephone and written communication. Possess the knowledge to answer questions, research and solve problems, perform routine banking transactions, recommend, and support BP Federal Credit Union products and services.Job Type: Full-time, office setting in personSalary: $16.00 - $17.00/hourlyWork Schedule: 8:00am &ndash; 4:30pm Monday through FridayRequirements:<ul><li>Pleasant, professional, and clear voice</li><li>Have a working knowledge of banking services.</li><li>Must be compassionate and truly enjoy assisting people with problems and finding solutions to their needs.</li><li>Have a strong sense of customer service.</li><li>Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives under minimal supervision.</li><li>Ability to remain calm when dealing with upset members or situations.</li><li>Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work in a structured work environment and learn, retain, and recall information very quickly.</li><li>Ability to exhibit basic skills in using a personal computer and various software packages (including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook)</li><li>Ability to understand and explain online and mobile banking products to members.</li><li>Ability to balance a cash drawer including coins at the end of day as well as balance and compare institution totals to ensure accuracy.</li><li>Ability to open/close accounts as well as adjust accounts to reflect any changes requested by members, including but not limited to personal information changes.</li><li>Ability to open checking accounts, savings, money market accounts and Certificate of deposits.</li><li>Capability to commute between branches (within the area) and make Post Office runs daily.</li><li>Assist in helping members with account information including providing transaction history, transferring funds, applying Stop Payments, issuing Cashier checks and Travel Cards.</li><li>Ability to file member information at our offsite storage unit.</li></ul>Benefits (upon reaching required tenure):<ul><li>Health, Dental, Vision insurance</li><li>401k</li><li>Paid holidays (nine)</li><li>Paid vacation time</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>High school or equivalent (Preferred)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Cash Handling: 1 year (Preferred)</li><li>Banking: 1 year (Preferred)</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Houston, TX 77079 (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>Houston, TX 77079: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
