Summary:Facilities Support reports to the Director of Facilities and is responsible for supporting school faculty, staff, students, and families by maintaining the campus building and grounds. (Matt 19:14)Duties/Responsibilities: <ul><li>Responsible for hands-on daily maintenance of campus buildings, grounds, and equipment as scheduled by the Facilities Director.</li><li>Sets up and breaks down equipment for campus activities and events, including lunches, chapels, school programs, and special events, and collaborates with Athletics to support setup for home athletic events.</li><li>Conducts walk-throughs to ensure that all aspects of the building and grounds are consistently maintained.</li><li>Performs routine safety inspections of all school facilities, systems, and safety equipment to ensure compliance, functionality, and timely maintenance.</li><li>Supports classroom technology by troubleshooting and maintaining instructional equipment, and escalates complex technical issues to IT support as needed.</li><li>Provides janitorial support as needed within respective school buildings.</li><li>Completes maintenance tasks as assigned by the Facilities Director and documents progress and updates in the work order management system.</li><li>Directs identified maintenance needs and incoming maintenance requests to the Facilities Director for coordination and assignment of tasks.</li><li>Supports end of school day procedures including, but not limited to unlocking access gates and directing traffic.</li><li>Provides coverage in the absence of the Director of Facilities to include occasional evening on-campus events.</li><li>Ensures compliance with school policies and safety regulations.</li><li>May operate a school bus (with required CDL) or van on an as needed basis to support student transportation.</li><li>Assists with all other job duties as assigned.</li></ul>This job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the position and is not exhaustive. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be supplemented at the discretion of school administration.Required Skills and Abilities:<ul><li>A clearly articulated testimony of personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior along with weekly in-person attendance in a Christian church.</li><li>A clear understanding of and support for covenantal Christian education along with a desire to lead students in the development of a Christian worldview.</li><li>Demonstrates spiritual maturity and a growing commitment to the Christian faith.</li><li>High School Diploma required, custodial work and general maintenance experience a plus.</li><li>Technical experience or knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other specialized areas related to large facility management preferred, but not required.</li><li>Ability to obtain Commercial Driver&rsquo;s License (CDL) within three-six months of employment start date, if required.</li><li>Must be a team player with a desire to help and serve others.</li><li>Working knowledge of MS Office Suite.</li><li>Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>High attention to detail required with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.</li></ul>All prospective employees are subject to a Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as a condition of employment, pursuant to section 435.12, Florida Statutes.
