JOB SUMMARY: Performs a variety of routine clerical and customer service duties, along with transporting library materials. Transporting Library books/materials on Mondays and Thursdays from 12pm until 5pm is a required responsibility of this job.DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:The Part-Time Library Driver/Clerk is responsible for safely transporting books, materials, and supplies between library locations within Bradford County. This role requires timely deliveries, accurate records, and courteous service to staff and patrons. The Part-Time Library Driver/Clerk may also assist with basic clerical or maintenance tasks as part of the Bradford County Library operations team.JOB FUNCTIONS:- Transport books, materials, and supplies to various locations throughout Bradford County on a regular and consistent basis by means of a County vehicle. This will include Mondays and Thursdays from 12pm until 5pm.- Lifting and carrying heavy weight.- Respond appropriately, quickly, and courteously to transportation requests from libraries, county departments, and other stakeholders within the Bradford County Library System- Ensure timely delivery of transported materials- Work the circulation desk as scheduled. This may include checking books in and out, processing book requests, issuing new patron cards, and assisting with book requests- Maintain patron privacy- Answer phone calls, assist patrons with requests, and take messages for staff- Sort and shelve library materials- Assist patrons with computer and microfilm use- Register patrons for library programs- Participate in public relations activities as opportunities arise- Attend staff meetings and workshops as needed- Process new books according to regular protocols- Assist with regular inventory and weeding- Assist with adult and children&rsquo;s programs- Perform other duties as assigned by the DirectorREQUIRED PHYSICAL DUTIES:- Extended periods of walking, standing, lifting/carrying, and reaching with hands and arms.- Occasional periods of sitting, climbing, or balancing, pulling/pushing items, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.- Picking up and carrying weights of 50 to 75 pounds on a regular and prolonged basis.- Pushing and pulling book trucks, with casters, weighing up to 200 pounds.- Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:Clerical experience, computer knowledge, accuracy, or a combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.MINIMUM EXPERIENCE and TRAINING:- Possess a valid driver&rsquo;s license- Clean driving record and the ability to be insured by Bradford County- Ability to serve the public in a professional manner- Demonstration of appropriate customer service and phone etiquette- Must be able to pass a background check and obtain child clearancesJob Type: Part-timePay: $14.56 per hourWillingness to travel:<ul><li>50% (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person

These duties should always be of utmost quality service and be performed to meet the need of our clients. Hours will vary during all open hours of the library Monday through SaturdayJOB FUNCTIONS:- Work the circulation desk as scheduled on a daily basis, check-in and check-outs, holds, new patron cards, and assist with book requests- Maintain client privacy- Answer phone calls, assists client with requests, and taking messages for staff- Sorting and shelving of library materials- Assist patrons with computer and microfilm usage and questions- Check book drop daily- Schedule meetings for conference room- Register patrons for library programs- Participate in public relations activities as opportunities arise- Attend staff meetings and workshops, as needed and work schedule would allow- Process incoming books as directed- Assist with regular inventory and weeding- Process interlibrary loans by filling requests, logging data, and mailing- Assist with book mending- Assist with adult and children&rsquo;s programs- Assist with social media- Perform other duties as assigned by the DirectorPHYSICAL and MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:- Must have the ability to record, convey, and present information, explain procedures, and follow instructions;- Must be able to sit for long periods of time with frequent periods of standing, walking, and occasional twisting, reaching, pulling, and pushing required for obtaining files, doing inspections or other job duties;- Dexterity requirements range from simple to complex movements of fingers/hands, legs/feet, or torso to carry out job duties;- Sedentary work with occasional lifting, 15-20 pounds;- Must demonstrate emotional stability;- Ability to cope with physical and mental stress of the position;- Must be able to pay close attention to detail and concentrate on work.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:Clerical experience, computer knowledge, accuracy, or a combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.MINIMUM EXPERIENCE and TRAINING:- High School Diploma or GED required.- Some knowledge of library functions or willingness to acquire such library techniques preferred.- Ability to serve the public in a professional manner.- Customer service and phone etiquette.- PA Child Abuse History ClearancesJob Type: Part-timePay: $14.56 per hourAbility to Commute:<ul><li>Troy, PA 16947 (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>Troy, PA 16947: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
