Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide exceptional in-home care to individuals requiring assistance with daily activities and health management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, including experience with senior care, developmental disabilities, and specialized medical needs such as dementia and Alzheimer's care. The position is paid and requires a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.Duties<ul><li>Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring comfort and dignity.</li><li>Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to support ongoing health assessments.</li><li>Support medication administration following prescribed protocols while maintaining accurate medical documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems.</li><li>Provide specialized care for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral management.</li><li>Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts, catheters, and other assistive devices safely and effectively.</li><li>Assist with mobility using tools like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts to prevent falls and promote independence.</li><li>Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe living environment aligned with HIPAA regulations.</li><li>Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate home &amp; community care services tailored to individual needs.</li><li>Maintain thorough documentation of patient care activities in compliance with medical records standards and HIPAA privacy rules.</li><li>Support hospice care clients by providing compassionate emotional support alongside physical assistance.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in health status or behavior promptly.</li><li>Great driving records (Valid Driver's License and Reliable transportation)</li><li>Extensive experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments.</li><li>Proficiency with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR systems for accurate documentation.</li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to home health care practices.</li><li>Ability to assist with complex procedures such as catheter care and medication administration safely.</li><li>Certifications in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and first aid are required or preferred.</li><li>Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments like dementia or Alzheimer&rsquo;s disease.</li><li>Familiarity with hospice care principles, dementia care techniques, and memory support strategies.</li><li>Competence in performing vital signs measurement accurately and reporting findings appropriately.</li><li>Ability to handle caregiving tasks independently while maintaining professionalism within a team environment.
