<p>Teacher is responsible for developing a cohesive teaching team, coordinating the curriculum, and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom.</p><p><br>
The Lead Toddler Teacher creates a warm, responsive, and developmentally appropriate environment for children ages 18&ndash;36 months. This role supports toddlers&rsquo; rapid growth in language, mobility, social‑emotional skills, and independence. The Lead Teacher models ethical conduct, reflective practice, and high‑quality care consistent with NAEYC standards.</p>

<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>1. Curriculum &amp; Learning Experiences (NAEYC Standards 1 &amp; 5)</b></h3><ul><li>
Plan and implement play‑based, sensory‑rich activities that support toddlers&rsquo; exploration and emerging skills.</li><li>
Embed early language, motor development, problem‑solving, and self‑help skills into daily routines.</li><li>
Adapt experiences to meet individual developmental needs, interests, and cultural backgrounds.</li><li>
Create a predictable yet flexible schedule that supports toddlers&rsquo; need for security and autonomy.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
2. Relationships &amp; Social‑Emotional Support (NAEYC Standard 4)</b></h3><ul><li>
Build trusting, nurturing relationships with each child through responsive caregiving.</li><li>
Support toddlers&rsquo; emotional regulation, emerging communication, and peer interactions.</li><li>
Use positive guidance strategies that honor toddlers&rsquo; developmental stage and need for co‑regulation.</li><li>
Foster a sense of belonging and safety in the classroom.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
3. Family Partnerships (NAEYC Standard 2)</b></h3><ul><li>
Communicate daily with families about routines, learning, and developmental progress.</li><li>
Partner with families to understand each child&rsquo;s home culture, routines, and individual needs.</li><li>
Conduct parent conferences, events, and engagement activities.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
4. Observation, Assessment &amp; Documentation (NAEYC Standard 3)</b></h3><ul><li>
Conduct ongoing observations to understand each child&rsquo;s development.</li><li>
Document milestones, emerging skills, and areas for support.</li><li>
Use assessment information to individualize curriculum and share progress with parents.</li><li>
Collect, organize and maintain an individual child&rsquo;s portfolio.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
5. Health, Safety &amp; Care Routines (NAEYC Standard 6)</b></h3><ul><li>
Maintain a safe, clean, and toddler‑friendly environment.</li><li>
Follow all licensing regulations, health guidelines, and program policies.</li><li>
Support toddlers through diapering, toileting readiness, feeding, and rest routines with respect and sensitivity.</li><li>
Ensure constant supervision and appropriate ratios.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
6. Professionalism &amp; Leadership (NAEYC Standard 6 &amp; Code of Ethics)</b></h3><ul><li>
Model ethical behavior, confidentiality, and professionalism.</li><li>
Mentor assistant teachers and support staff.</li><li>
Complete educational course (20 hours a year) and required certification ( CPR. First Aid, Epi Pen and Medication)</li><li>
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and reflective practice.</li><li>
Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive, team‑oriented environment.</li><li>
Complete required reports accurately and on time.</li></ul>
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Requirements</b></h3><br>

<ul><li>Associate&rsquo;s or Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred).</li><li>
At least 2 years experience working with toddlers in a licensed early childhood setting.</li><li>
Knowledge of NAEYC standards, DAP, and responsive caregiving practices.</li><li>
Strong communication and collaboration skills.</li><li>
Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive care.</li><li>
Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs.</li><li>
Ability to bend, sit on the floor for prolonged periods and get up again is required.</li></ul>
