Dental Assistant / Sterilization Tech - Full timeBright Smiles Dentistry is looking for a Dental Assistant with at least 1 year of experience. Ideal candidate must have X-ray certification. You will support the doctor by breaking down rooms, processing instruments, assisting with pre-screening, taking temperatures, aiding in health history updates, entering patient charting and taking digital x-ray images. Must be friendly, efficient and reliable.Primary Function:<ul><li>Provide chair side assistance and clinical support to the Doctor.</li><li>Prepare examination and treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and moving equipment into place.</li><li>Perform x-ray examinations and enter patient information in computer.</li><li>Perform 4-handed dentistry, including passing instruments for restorative,oral surgery procedures, mixing and filling materials.Take and mount digital x-rays.</li><li>Ensure comfort of patients.Escort patients to and from dental chair.</li><li>Order, check and shelve dental supplies.</li><li>Pack, receive, check laboratory work and inventory lab cases.</li><li>Remove clinical trash for the day.</li><li>Requirements: Minimum requirement x-ray certification.</li><li>Ability to perform the essential duties and meet physical demands.</li><li>Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with moderate supervision.</li><li>Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills to relate with co-workers and patients.Ability to communicate fluently in English because a majority of the employees and patients are English speaking.</li><li>Required Experience:Dentrix/DEXIS dental software program,Digital x-rays for dental assistant</li><li>Required Education:Dental assistant: minimum requirement is NJ x-ray license, CDA, RDA.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time Benefit Conditions:* 90 day Waiting period may applyClinical Setting:* General DentistrySchedule:* Monday to Friday * No weekendsAdditional Compensation:* Bonuses* 401K PlanDuties:* Assisting chair-side * Infection control, Cleaning treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments * Taking records, impressions, or x-rays * Using computers to update electronic patient records * Assisting with lab tasks as needed * Assisting with front office tasks as neededWork Location:* One locationJob Type: Full-timeJob Type: Full-timePay: From $22.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Dental assisting: 1 year (Required)</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>NJ X-Ray License (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Sicklerville, NJ 08081 (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
