<div><div><div>The Office of the District Attorney, Bronx County (&ldquo;BXDA&rdquo;) is charged with the twin goals of ensuring public safety and striving for equal justice for the over 1.4 million members of the Bronx County community. By &ldquo;Pursuing Justice with Integrity,&rdquo; the BXDA places a focus on assistance for crime victims while simultaneously ensuring fairness to defendants. Moreover, the BXDA aims to balance the need to seek appropriate punishment for certain crimes while recognizing when punitive measures do not adequately advance justice. By recognizing these significant distinctions and acting accordingly, BXDA has established a standard of excellence in the representation of the Bronx community at large, which continues to grow stronger every day.<br>

In furtherance of this mission, the BXDA seeks experienced and enthusiastic Trial Preparation Assistants in the Homicide Bureau and Trial Division to aid in all aspects of case preparation from intake to final disposition.<br>
<br>
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:<br>
<br>
<ul><li>Compile, analyze, redact, and reproduce case documents for discovery compliance and case preparation.</li><li>Preparation and filing of documents.</li><li>Timely retrieval of documents and records.</li><li>Assist in preparing hearing/trial exhibits &amp; discovery for trial.</li><li>Timely conversions of instruments to information.</li><li>Retrieve all necessary documents and records from law enforcement agencies, hospitals and other entitles.</li><li>Produce effective communication with different agencies.</li><li>Locate and retrieve property maintained by NYC Police Dept.</li><li>Perform legal research.</li><li>Engage in witness contact and communication.</li><li>Secure corroborating affidavits</li><li>Prepare orders for Court, including Motion Responses, Legal Memorandums, Search Warrants, Subpoenas, and Orders to Produce.</li><li>Work directly with Assistant District Attorneys (ADAs) on specialty cases.</li><li>Accompany ADAs in court observing, capturing updates and assisting in Trials.</li><li>All other relevant duties as assigned.</li></ul><br>
A VALID NEW YORK STATE DRIVER'S LICENSE WITHA MINIMUM OF TWO (2) YEARS OF DRIVING EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED AND MUST BE MAINTAINED FOR THE DURATION OF EMPLOYMENT.<br>

<div><div><p>The Bronx District Attorney&rsquo;s Office is seeking a well-qualified staff whose diverse backgrounds reflect an ability to serve the 1.4 million members of the Bronx County community and to pursue a safer Bronx through fair justice. The Crime Victims Assistance Bureau (CVAB), within the Special Victims Division, provides supportive services to victims of crime in the Bronx.<br>
<br>
In furtherance of this mission, the BXDA seeks experienced and enthusiastic Arraignment Victim Liaison in the Early Victim Engagement (EVE) Project within the Crime Victims Assistance Bureau. The Early Victim Engagement (EVE) Project aims to contact complainants/witnesses in domestic violence cases immediately after the defendant has interacted with the criminal justice system. The Arraignment Victim Liaison (AVL) will be a member of the Office Crime Victims Advocate Bureau (CVAB) and the Special Victims Division and will report directly to the Arraignment Victim Liaison Supervisor (AVLS), under the overall authority of the Chief of CVAB. The AVL will work as part of a team and will work closely with other members of CVAB, the Office&rsquo;s Domestic Violence (DV) Bureau, the Bronx Family Justice Center (BxFJC), and the EVE Project Director at the Mayor&rsquo;s Office to Combat Domestic Violence.<br>

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:<br>
<br>
Work within the arraignment parts at Bronx Criminal Court.<br>
<br>
Review all incoming domestic violence case files and highlight important case information to the arraignment prosecutor.<br>
<br>
Post-arraignment, the AVL makes multiple telephone calls to reach each victim to provide them with the bail conditions, information regarding Orders of Protection, and any other important criminal case information.<br>
<br>
During the phone call the AVL provides accurate criminal justice information, supportive listening, and linkage to CVAB, community resources, and/or the BxFJC.<br>
<br>
Update and input all information into BXDA&rsquo;s Office electronic EVE database.<br>
<br>
Compile accurate and comprehensive monthly data reports.<br>
<br>
Attend regular EVE Project Team meetings.<br>
<br>
Contact domestic violence victims on cases that are declined to prosecute to provide resource options and connect to services.<br>
<br>
Other tasks as requested by the AVLS and the supervisory staff of CVAB or DV.<br>
<br>

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:<br>
<br>
A Baccalaureate degree and (2) years of related experience preferred, or a high school diploma with five (5) years of work experience in a law firm, governmental agency, or civic or community organization.<br>
<br>
Bilingual Required (Spanish speaking).<br>
<br>
Past advocacy experience through internships helpful.<br>
<br>
Willingness to learn, and a proven or developing commitment to working with victims of domestic violence in a sensitive and non-judgmental way.<br>

Strong organizational and communication skills.<br>
<br>
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment<br>
<br>
Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.<br>

<div><div><div>The Bronx County District Attorney&rsquo;s Office seeks a seasoned leader with broad experience to serve the diverse community of over 1.4 million Bronx residents and to promote a safer borough by &ldquo;Pursuing Justice with Integrity.&rdquo; The Conviction Integrity Bureau seeks an experienced attorney with ten plus years of experience to serve as the Deputy Bureau Chief. The primary focus of the Conviction Integrity Bureau is to investigate claims of actual innocence and wrongful conviction and to identify potential systemic issues. The Assistant District Attorneys in the Bureau also review clemency petitions and Domestic Violence Survivor Justice Act (DVSJA) post-conviction motions for resentencing, and lead trainings on best practices to avoid wrongful convictions. The Deputy Bureau Chief will report directly to the Bureau Chief and play a key leadership role in supervising and managing staff and all aspect of the Bureau&rsquo;s work. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader who can balance legal and investigative skills with the ability to mentor staff, streamline processes, and build a culture that aligns with DA Clark&rsquo;s vision of justice with integrity.<br>
