An established and growing residential property management company is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee the monthly financial reporting for a portfolio of 15&ndash;20 apartment communities. This position offers a collaborative environment, competitive compensation, and the opportunity to work remotely two days per week following a 60-day onboarding period.

What You'll Do
<ul><li>Complete month-end close processes for 15&ndash;20 apartment communities</li>
<li>Prepare monthly accruals and deferrals</li>
<li>Analyze financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and budget variances</li>
<li>Review cash flow and approve accounts payable activity</li>
<li>Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations</li>
<li>Communicate financial information and variances with property managers, regional managers, ownership groups, and executive leadership</li>
<li>Assist with annual property tax payments</li>
<li>Utilize accounting software and Microsoft Office tools to maintain accurate records</li>
<li>Support additional accounting projects as assigned</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
Education
<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
</li></ul>Experience
<ul><li>2+ years of general ledger accounting experience required</li>
<li>Understanding of accrual accounting and cash/AP analysis</li>
<li>Property management or real estate accounting experience preferred</li>
<li>Experience communicating financial information to non-accounting professionals preferred</li>
</ul>
Skills
<ul><li>Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities</li>
<li>Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines</li>
<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word</li>
<li>Experience with Entrata and/or OneSite accounting software preferred</li>
</ul>
