The Sr. Microsoft Platform Engineer serves as a technical subject matter expert (SME) for our enterprise collaboration and communication ecosystem &ndash; primarily focused on Microsoft 365 and supporting on-premise platforms. This hands-on role will be involved in the architecture, security, administration, and automation of our core productivity platforms. The engineer will leverage deep scripting and automation skills to drive efficiency and will be instrumental in integrating these collaboration services with core networking, security, and application development functions across the firm.</div><div></div><div>
Responsibilities:</div><div>
Microsoft 365 Platform Engineering</div><ul><li>
Design, implement, and maintenance activities across the core Microsoft365 suite (Exchange, Teams, Sharepoint, OneDrive)</li><li>
Support and configure Azure Active Directory services related to M365 to ensure SSO and MFA effectiveness</li></ul><div><br>
On-Premises Platform Engineering</div><ul><li>
Administer and maintain on-premises Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint and Mobile environments, including patching, upgrades, and performance tuning</li><li>
Manage hybrid configurations between on-premises and cloud services (Exchange Hybrid, SharePoint Hybrid)</li><li>
Oversee lifecycle management of legacy collaboration systems and plan migrations to modern platforms</li><li>
Ensure compliance and security controls are enforced across on-premises environments</li></ul><div></div><div>
Automation &amp; Scripting</div><ul><li>
Develop, deploy, and maintain robust automation solutions using PowerShell for complex administration tasks, bulk operations, reporting, security, and continuous system monitoring across M365 environment</li><li>
Utilize Power Automate and Power Apps to design and implement business process automation workflows that integrate M365 services (Teams, Sharepoint, Exchange) with external line-of-business applications</li><li>
Proactively monitor platform health and performance</li></ul><div><br>
Voice &amp; Mobile Solutions</div><ul><li>
Configure and maintain enterprise voice platforms (ex. Teams Voice, UC solutions) to ensure reliable, high-quality telephony and advanced calling features across the organization.</li><li>
Support Mobile Access/MDM solutions (ex. Blackberry) to ensure secure and compliant access on mobile devices</li><li>
Collaborate with networking teams to optimize connectivity</li></ul><div></div><div>
Qualifications</div><div>
Education level and/or relevant experience(s)</div><ul><li>
7+ years experience in infrastructure engineering, with a focus on Microsoft Unified Communications and Collaboration</li><li>
Expert-level proficiency in administering and troubleshooting Exchange Online/Hybrid, Microsoft Teams, and Sharepoint Online</li><li>
Advanced proficiency in scripting and automation using Powershell</li><li>
Strong hands-on experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) for building enterprise workflows</li><li>
Deep understanding of networking concepts (DNS, firewalls, load balancing) relevant to UC Solutions</li><li>
Experience integrating M365 services with other applications</li></ul><div>
Preferred Qualifications</div><ul><li>
Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert</li><li>
Working knowledge of agile methodologies and ITIL Framework</li><li>
Experience mentoring and leading teams</li></ul><div></div><div><br>
Salary Range</div><div>
NJ: $110,000 to $160,000 base salary + annual bonus target</div><div></div><div><i>
BBH&rsquo;s compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
