Brown University Athletics and Recreation is seeking candidates for the seasonal Director of Player Personnel, Men&rsquo;s Lacrosse position. Located in Providence, Rhode Island, and a member of the Ivy League, our intercollegiate athletics program consists of 38 varsity teams with approximately 1,000 athletes who participate within the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA-DI).<div>
This seasonal/intermittent position is a part time, 10-month role to assist the Head Coach, Men&rsquo;s Lacrosse in all phases of the Men&rsquo;s Lacrosse program, specifically with equipment, travel, admissions liaison, film, analytics, and other duties to assist the program.
This position will be responsible for purchasing equipment as well as keeping inventory of all equipment each year. This position will assist in booking travel, both team travel and recruiting travel for the staff. This position will also assist with obtaining information regarding admissions. This position will film each practice and make sure both practice film and game film are uploaded and broken down each day. This position will use our practice statistics and our game/opponents game statistics to acquire analytics data which we will share with staff and the team.
Education and Experience<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>Collegiate, professional, high school, or club sports coaching experience, preferred.</li></ul>

Director of Player Personnel, Men's Lacrosse

<div>Job Description:
Brown University Athletics and Recreation is currently seeking candidates for the Assistant Coach, Women's Lacrosse position. Located in Providence, Rhode Island, and a member of the Ivy League, our intercollegiate athletics program consists of 38 varsity teams with approximately 1,000 athletes who participate within the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA-D1).
This position assists the Head Coach, Women&rsquo;s Lacrosse in all phases of the Women&rsquo;s Lacrosse Program and will work with a position group to be assigned by the Head Coach. This includes coaching, teaching, and player development, recruiting, and administrative duties such as coordinating training and travel schedules, video analysis, completing compliance information, and alumni relations. The position supports all efforts to continue to attract the nation&rsquo;s top women&rsquo;s lacrosse players to our Division I non-scholarship program.
Education and Experience<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree with 1-2 years of coaching experience. In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, a minimum of 5 years direct related experience is required.</li><li>
Coaching experience in intercollegiate athletics, professional athletics, elite amateur sport, or a comparable competitive environment.</li></ul>

Brown University Athletics and Recreation is seeking candidates for the Athletics Communications Officer position. Located in Providence, Rhode Island, and a member of the Ivy League, our intercollegiate athletics program consists of 38 varsity teams with approximately 1,000 athletes who participate within the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA-DI).
The Communications Officer is a member of the division&rsquo;s external staff and will tell the Brown University Athletics story by managing an integrated athletics and communications program that includes game-day coverage, sports information and statistics, web coordination, social media management, and photography (incl. freelance) for a variety of Brown&rsquo;s 38 varsity teams, and related Athletics events.
Education and Experience
EDUCATION
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree from an accredited institution in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Sports Management, or a closely related field.
EXPERIENCE<ul><li>
One to three (1-3) years of working in sports-related public relations/social media and/or digital media with a proven record of progressive approach to social and digital media.</li><li>
Strong knowledge of creative storytelling experience.</li><li>

Senior Library Expert - Cataloging and Discovery-Cataloging

<div>Job Description:
Summary
The Veterinary Technician (VT) assists the Veterinary Services team in the daily care and management of USDA-covered research animals. This role is critical in maintaining high standards of animal welfare, procedural support, and facility operations. This position reports directly to the Veterinary Services Supervisor (VSS) and provides essential assistance to the Senior Veterinary Technicians (SVTs), the VSS, the Veterinary Services Manager (VSM), the veterinarians, and the principal investigators (PIs). Areas of assistance include clinical and research procedures, pre- and post-operative care, surgery, imaging, maintenance of support areas (e.g., pharmacy, surgery, radiology, MRI, ethylene oxide and necropsy), and participation in health monitoring and well-being programs. Additionally, The VT assists with recordkeeping to ensure compliance with federal regulations (USDA Animal Welfare Regulations, PHS policy, and DEA regulations) and University policies and to maintain AAALAC accreditation.
Qualifications

Required: Associate&rsquo;s degree in a related field with 2 years directly related experience with animals, preferably in a research setting.</li><li>

Veterinary Technician certification (CVT) and/or AALAS Laboratory Animal Technician (LAT) or Surgical Research Anesthetist (SRA) certification preferred.</li><li>
Must obtain LAT certification within 2 years of employment.</li></ul>

Knowledge of and comfort with technology in the workplace including tablet technology, animal census and IACUC software, Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.</li><li>
The person in this position frequently communicates with faculty and researchers who inquire about their research animals. Must be able to exchange accurate information.</li><li>
Work with a wide variety of animals and must learn about different housing and care needs of each.</li><li>
Must be responsive to changes that occur with short notice.</li><li>
Background check and drug screen required.</li></ul>
