Manager/Sr. Manager- Mortgage Operations - Foreclosure &amp; Claims (US Residential Mortgage)

Job Summary:
The Mortgage Foreclosure &amp; Claims Manager oversees the end-to-end foreclosure and claims processes for defaulted mortgage loans. This role ensures compliance with investor, insurer, and regulatory guidelines while minimizing financial losses and maintaining operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Foreclosure Management:
<ul><li>Supervise judicial and non-judicial foreclosure processes across multiple states.</li>
<li>Coordinate with attorneys, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely foreclosure actions.</li>
<li>Monitor foreclosure timelines and ensure adherence to investor-specific requirements (FHA, VA, USDA, FNMA, FHLMC &amp; private investors).</li>
<li>Review and approve foreclosure-related documentation including payoffs, reinstatements, judgment figures and bidding.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate records and updates in the servicing system.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with federal, state, and investor regulations.</li>
</ul>
Claims Processing:
<ul><li>File foreclosure advance claims for reimbursement from investors and insurers.</li>
<li>Review and validate claim documentation for accuracy and completeness.</li>
<li>Ensure timely submission of claims to GSE, GNMA, MI companies, and other investors.</li>
<li>Track claim statuses and follow up on outstanding or denied claims.</li>
<li>Collaborate with finance and audit teams to reconcile claim payments and recoveries.</li>
</ul>
Team Leadership &amp; Compliance:
<ul><li>Lead and mentor a team of foreclosure and claims specialists.</li>
<li>Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.</li>
<li>Ensure team meets performance metrics and service level agreements.</li>
<li>Participate in audits and regulatory reviews; provide documentation and responses as needed.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in business, Finance, or related field (preferred).</li>
<li>5+ years of experience in mortgage servicing, foreclosure, and default claims.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of FHA, VA, USDA, FNMA, FHLMC &amp; private investors guidelines.</li>
<li>Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.</li>
<li>Proficiency in MS Office and mortgage servicing platforms.</li>
</ul>
Additional skills:
<ul><li>Experience managing vendor relationships and legal counsel.</li>
<li>Familiarity with credit bureau reporting and delinquency tracking.</li>
<li>Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive process improvements.</li>
<li>Experience in systems like Sagent, Tempo, Loansphere &amp; PACER.</li></ul></div>
