It provides a comprehensive blend of services that accomplish our clients&rsquo; daily accounting needs while working towards a corporate financial goal and mission.About the Accounting Manager RoleThe Accounting Manager is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting for BST&rsquo;s clients. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, implementing practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements and controls are in place for each client. The Accounting Manager is responsible for supervising a team of accounting specialists to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner. The Accounting Manager could manage up to 7-12 clients at a time.This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities, including month-end close preparation, financial reporting, implementation of new systems and processes, year-end client tax and audit projects, and the support of budget and forecast activities.Essential Responsibilities:&middot; Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building and maintaining strong professional relationships&middot; Manage client accounting projects from planning to completion, ensuring quality standards and deadlines are met&middot; Develop and implement accounting systems and processes tailored to client needs&middot; Provide financial insights and advisory services to support clients' business decisions&middot; Conduct regular client meetings to discuss financial performance and strategic opportunities&middot; Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accounting specialists&middot; Assign and review work, providing constructive feedback and guidance&middot; Monitor team workload and project status to ensure efficient resource allocation&middot; Foster a collaborative team environment that promotes knowledge sharing and continuous improvement&middot; Participate in and present at board meetings or management meetings&middot; Build a forecast and budget for small to medium clients&middot; Oversee purchase orders, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes, including vendor management, invoice processing, payment approvals, customer invoicing, collections, and strategic financial guidance&middot; Assist with developing standardized procedures and methodologies for clients&middot; Overall day-to-day management of financial reporting accuracy and on-time processing of client information&middot; Produce financial reporting packages on a monthly or quarterly basis&middot; Lead audit and tax return preparation annually&middot; Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accounting specialistsTo be successful in this role, you will bring with you:&middot; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in accounting preferred or Associate&rsquo;s Degree with requisite experience&middot; Valid driver&rsquo;s license and reliable transportation required for travel to client sites&middot; Proficient knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting&middot; Strong understanding of internal controls and financial processes&middot; Experience with a CPA firm environment and/or outsourced accounting services&middot; Experience with cloud-based accounting solutions and integrated technology platforms, such as QBO, Sage Intacct, Fund Ez, Net Suite, Workday, etc.&middot; Comprehensive knowledge and experience in managing payroll processes&middot; Capable of building, revamping or improving a month-end close process for small to medium clients.&middot; Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Products (Outlook, Teams, Planner, etc.)&middot; Excellent client relationship management abilities&middot; Strong leadership and team development capabilities&middot; Superior written and verbal communication skills&middot; Exceptional problem-solving and analytical thinking&middot; Ability to translate complex financial information into actionable insights&middot; Strong project management and organizational skills&middot; Detail-oriented perspective with high standards for quality and accuracy&middot; Demonstrated engagement management skills and ability to manage a book of 7-12 clients; understanding of scope, timeline and budget; ability to identify roadblocks and meet deadlines.&middot; Innovative thinking and approach to enhancing controls and efficiencies&middot; Ability to apply the audit approach to month-end close process and financial reporting&middot; Ability to prepare balance sheet and income statement reconciliations to supporting documentation and/or subledger data&middot; Analytical capabilities to review general ledger for missing transactions and/or trends in the data to ensure accuracy of financial reporting on a monthly and annual basis&middot; Ability to work in a standard office environment and sit at a desk for extended periodsAbout BSTBST &amp; Co.
