Under general supervision, this position provides administrative and clerical support for the Prosecuting Attorney and his or her assistants.</p></div>
<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</b></h2></div>
<div><p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p><br>
<ul><li>
Assists with preparation legal documents and prepares letters, correspondence, forms and other documents</li><li>
Operates office computers and various software</li><li>
Performs word processing, emails, and other computer communications</li><li>
Assists Prosecutor and/or Assistant Prosecutor in Preliminary Hearing &amp; Jury Trial preparation as assigned &amp; requested</li><li>
Provides information to attorneys for subpoena-Paras prepare the subpoenas when they&rsquo;re assigned to a case.</li><li>
May potentially assist with letters and court-related documents</li><li>
Must be well organized and able to work independently</li></ul>
Other Duties and Responsibilities:<br>
<ul><li>
Operate office equipment, including but not limited to: copy machine, computer, phone, and other standard equipment</li><li>
Perform all other duties as assigned</li></ul></div><br>

<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Education/Experience</b></h2></div>
<div><p>Education/Experience:<br>
Education equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university with a Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field.<br>
Experience working in a legal environment is required.<br>
Knowledge of Word, Power Point, Excel and WestlawNext, preferred.</p></div>
<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</b></h2></div>
<div><p>Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</p><br>
<ul><li>
Knowledge of personal computers and standard software applications related to legal support work, including Microsoft Word and Excel</li><li>
Knowledge of filing and electronic record keeping systems</li><li>
Knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling</li><li>
Advanced skill in communicating effectively using the English language, both orally and in writing</li><li>
Knowledge of legal processes and terminology</li><li>
Knowledge of the criminal justice system in the State of Missouri</li><li>
Skill in reading and preparing legal documents</li><li>
Skill in handling stressful situations successfully and the ability to work well with other employees, court professionals and the public</li><li>
Advanced skill in discretion and maintaining confidential information</li><li>
Ability to work independently and follow instructions</li><li>
Ability to learn and apply policies, procedures, documents, and terminology affecting assigned functions</li><li>
Advanced ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail</li></ul></div></div></div><p></p>
