<div><div><p><b>Summary/Objective</b><b>:</b> A Paraeducator is responsible for assisting the teacher/therapist in providing instruction and support to assigned students in an educational setting, which is designed to promote intellectual, behavioral, emotional, and social growth. Paraeducators can be assigned to individual students or to multiple students. All functions are performed under the direction of the teacher/therapist.</p>

<div><p>The position requires the employee to support students with a variety of needs, which may include individuals who exhibit aggressive behaviors and/or self-injurious behavior. The Paraeducator will be trained to meet the individual needs of the students that they are assigned to with the classroom or setting. In some cases, the Paraeducator will serve as an itinerant and work in homes and community settings within Bucks County.</p><br>

<div><p><b>Essential Functions</b><b>:</b></p>
</div>
<div><ul><li>Provide one-on-one tutoring (if such tutoring is scheduled at a time when a student would not otherwise receive instruction from a teacher).</li>
<li>Assist with classroom management, such as organizing instructional and/or other materials.</li>
<li>Act as a liaison in communicating with teacher and other IU and district staff regarding ongoing needs of students.</li>
<li>Support parental involvement activities.</li>
<li>Provide support across all educational settings; escort and supervise students to various locations across all educational settings.</li>
<li>Assist the student to use equipment.</li>
<li>Assist the student to use and maintain augmentative communication devices.</li>
<li>Assist a student to ambulate, position, and transfer.</li>
<li>Support students in range of motion and other exercises.</li>
<li>Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) (e.g. feeding, grooming, bathing, toileting, diapering, etc.).</li>
<li>Monitor the incidence and prevalence of designated health problems or medical conditions (e.g., seizure precautions or extreme lethargy).</li>
<li>Accompany student on school bus or other vehicle.</li>
<li>Cue, redirect or monitor to ensure that the student performs ADL tasks when a cognitive impairment prevents a student from knowing when or how to carry out the task (e.g., a student may not be able to dress without instruction on how to do so or need reminders of what to do and when).</li>
<li>Observe/monitor and redirect/intervention to assist with completion of ADL&rsquo;s.</li>
<li>Cue the student to pay attention, participate in activities and complete tasks.</li>
<li>Participate in the implementation of each student's IEP (Individualized Educational Plan) and C.E.Rs (if applicable)</li>
<li>Assist with data collection of student performance.</li>
<li>May be trained, when qualified, to occasionally transport students.</li>
<li>Follow any individualized support plans that may be a part of a student&rsquo;s educational program (e.g., behavior, communication, health, transportation). Track information about each student including needs, strengths, gains and problem areas.</li>
<li>Assist with setting up educational environment and preparing materials for instruction.</li>

Job Summary:</b> The Supervisor of Communications and Marketing is responsible for leading, developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive communications, marketing, and public relations strategy that promotes the mission, vision, and priorities of the Bucks IU. This role ensures clear, transparent, and consistent communication, marketing, and public relations strategies with internal and external stakeholders, including students, families, staff, community members, media and governmental entities. The Supervisor of Communications and Marketing is responsible for managing the communications team including support staff and any third-party contractors utilized by the Communications Department, including photography and press story contractors.</p><p><b><br>
Essential Functions:</b><br>

 <b>Strategic Communications and Planning</b></p><ul><li><p>
Develops, implements, and manages a strategic communications plan that aligns with the Bucks IU's mission, vision, and long-term goals.</p></li><li><p>
Serves as the primary point of contact for all internal and external communications, ensuring consistency in messaging and brand voice.</p></li><li><p>
Collaborates with school leadership and all Bucks IU's departments and divisions to identify communication priorities and opportunities to enhance engagement.</p></li><li><p>
Serves as the main coordinator of the Bucks County Schools Communications Advisory Group (a job alike group of similar communications, marketing, and school public relations positions at Bucks County schools), planning relevant monthly meeting topics, speakers, and discussions that meet school district needs and expectations.</p></li><li><p>
Ensures Bucks IU messaging is consistent, accurate, and aligned across all communications platforms.</p></li><li><p>
Oversees all Bucks IU-related websites.</p></li><li><p>
Publishes regular press releases highlighting Bucks IU programs, people, and partners.</p></li><li><p>
Publishes an annual Bucks IU Report to the Community.</p></li><li><p>
 Works with Executive Director and Division Heads to manage branding and reputation of the Bucks IU.</p></li></ul><p><b>
Digital Marketing, Social and Print Media</b></p><ul><li><p>
Leads the Bucks IU's digital and social media efforts, including developing and implementing a diverse social media and print media calendar for the school year.</p></li><li><p>
Oversees and manages the Bucks IU website, and social media platforms, ensuring timely, engaging, and appropriate content and graphcis.</p></li><li><p>
Monitor analytics and engagement of all media platforms to improve digital communication strategies.</p></li><li><p>

Stakeholder Engagement</b></p><ul><li><p>
Works with supervisory staff to develop appropriate communications to keep staff, students, families, and community members informed and engaged.</p></li><li><p>
Draft internal messaging, newsletters, and leadership communications.</p></li><li>
Support Supervisors and Administrators with school-level communication needs. Prepares monthly &ldquo;Awesome News&rdquo; report for the Bucks IU Board of School Directors.</li></ul><p><b>

Brand Management</b></p><ul><li><p>
Oversees the creation of branded collaterals, including signage and d&eacute;cor at Bucks IU locations, brochures, newsletters, reports, print media, and other promotional materials.</p></li><li><p>
Creates brand guidelines and supports all staff and departments in their adoption and use.</p></li><li><p>
Markets Bucks IU Communications and Marketing Services to Bucks County School Districts, providing external services, for a fee, as may be requested.</p></li></ul><p><b>
Team Leadership</b></p><ul><li><p>
Supervises and mentors the Communications and Marketing staff, and third-party contractors including graphic designers, content creators, web developers, photographers and other team contributors.</p></li><li><p>
Manages department budget, ensuring cost-effective and impactful marketing and communications initiatives.</p></li><li><p>
 Provides regular training and professional development opportunities for the Bucks IU staff to stay current with trends and best practices.</p></li></ul><p><b>

Qualifications<div></div><p><b><br>
Education and Experience:</b></p><ul><li><p>
 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, Public Relations, Journalism, Political Science, or related field required.</p></li><li><p>
Master&rsquo;s degree is preferred.</p></li><li><p>
Professional Certification through Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Accreditation in Public Relations (APR), or the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) or other communication industry related credential is preferred.</p></li><li><p>
Minimum 5-7 years of demonstrated leadership experience in a communications, marketing, or public relations preferably within an educational institution, public school setting, or nonprofit organization.</p></li><li><p>
 Proven track record of developing and executing successful communication and marketing strategies, with experience managing media relations, crisis communications, and public relations efforts.</p></li><li><p>
Digital marketing and social media expertise, including website management, graphic design, overseeing social media, and video production and editing.</p></li><li><p>
Leadership experience with managing a team and department budget.</p></li></ul><p><b>
