 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing knowledge of word processing, database, spreadsheet, financial and procurement software; 2) Demonstrating ability to use interpersonal skills and negotiation techniques, in addition to communicating effectively in writing and verbally; 3) Automating work processes to support functions and program operations; and 4) Utilizing automated software to prepare a wide variety of administrative documents.

ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT ASSISTANT.

 You will support the operation of testing in wind tunnel and rotorcraft laboratory environments.
 </li>

 You will design, set up, calibrate and operate complex mechanical and electronic instrumentation and data acquisition systems to collect experimental data.
 </li>
 <li>
 You will troubleshoot, maintain and repair laboratory equipment and test systems to ensure operational readiness and safety.
 </li>

 You will assist with and provide technical support for projects involving Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), drones or RC aircraft.
 </li>

 You will develop designs and create detailed drawings for experimental apparatus and test articles using CAD software (e.g.. SolidWorks).

 You will work from engineering drawings, sketches and oral instructions, to produce high -quality components for academic and research projects.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Operates complex mechanical and electronic instrumentation and data acquisition systems; 2) Maintains laboratory equipment and test systems: 3) Creates detailed drawings for experimental apparatus and test articles using CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks); 4) Fabricates aerodynamic models, test fixtures, and other experimental hardware using a variety of materials and tools; and 5) Provides technical guidance to students on the data collection, analysis, and set-up of experiments for academic courses and research activities.

 Duties are performed while standing most of the time. Regularly lifting objects up to 40 pounds and occasional lifting and movement of heavier equipment. This position requires a significant amount of mobility and physical ability including climbing multiple flights of stairs, crouching, kneeling and bending.
 
 
 
 Work Environment
 
 
 
 The Incumbent exercise normal safety and personal security practices required when working. Work is performed mostly in well lighted laboratories, classrooms and or lecture halls. The Incumbent is regularly exposed to moderate risks and discomforts, such as high noise levels from wind tunnels, moving machinery parts, and dust/fumes from fabrication work. Protective equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection and gloves is required.
