The Role
The Partnerships &amp; Fundraising Executive will support the Head of Partnerships &amp; Fundraising in securing new fundraising opportunities and managing both new and current partnerships that fuel Burnley FC in the Community&rsquo;s charitable work. The role will help deliver fundraising campaigns, build strong relationships with partners and donors, and contribute to generating sustainable income that strengthens the charity&rsquo;s impact across the community.
Roles and Responsibilities
Partnerships/Fundraising
<ul><li>Lead Generation &amp; Sales: Proactively source, pitch, and recruit new corporate partners, sponsors, and ambassadors.
</li><li>Account Management: Serve as point of contact for existing partners, ensuring contractual obligations are met and maximizing partner retention.
</li><li>Relationship Building: Host key account meetings, networking sessions, and stakeholder calls to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
</li><li>Asset Management: Administer partnership assets, benefits, and communication plans to guarantee maximum value for all stakeholders.
</li><li>New Business Development: Researching prospective corporate partners, writing compelling funding pitches, and cold calling to generate fresh income streams.
</li><li>Build and maintain positive, long-lasting relationships with corporate partners and stakeholders
</li><li>Review and facilitate the delivery of corporate partnership SLA terms to ensure an excellent partnership experience.
</li><li>Create and maintain a Partnership focussed CRM system.
</li><li>Co-ordinate and execute Partnerships activations/contracts and proposals.
</li><li>Maintain a customer relations focussed approach to support the growth and organisation of the Charity/Fundraising network.
</li><li>Consistently achieve and exceed defined performance targets and key KPIs for partnerships &amp; fundraising initiatives to maintain high standards of delivery and continuous improvement.
</li></ul>Fundraising Events
(Support Head of Partnerships &amp; Fundraising and Marketing &amp; Events Coordinator)
<ul><li>Co-ordinate the organisation and delivery of events (to include presence at the event)
</li><li>Responsibility of logging new charity events for approval
</li><li>Work closely with the operations team to plan and implement programme-specific events, sharing expertise and providing impactful community events.
</li><li>Support on certain / seasonal events to promote the charity and associated facilities, in the run up to and on matchdays
</li></ul>General
<ul><li>To understand and implement the Charity&rsquo;s Safeguarding policy, procedures, and best practice guidelines in your role. To use this understanding to ensure safe working practices, appropriate reporting of concerns and contribute positively to a safe environment.

Essential Qualifications, Experience &amp; Skills
<ul><li>5 GCSES (Grade 4- 9) including Math&rsquo;s &amp; English.
</li><li>A relevant qualification or equivalent experience in a fundraising/events role.
</li><li>Confidence in working with new people or unfamiliar situations.
</li><li>Excellent IT and MS Office skills, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
</li><li>Interpersonal communication - Demonstrates exceptional relationship building ability, able to engage confidently with partners, donors, businesses, and community stakeholders.
</li><li>Telephone confidence -Comfortable making outbound calls, pitching opportunities, following up leads, and maintaining professional, persuasive conversations.
</li><li>Verbal and written communication - Able to articulate Burnley FC in the Community&rsquo;s mission clearly and compellingly, adapting tone and style to different audiences.
</li><li>Fundraising knowledge -Understanding of fundraising principles, corporate partnerships, sponsorships, and donor stewardship (inferred from typical fundraising roles).
</li><li>Organisational skills - Able to manage multiple leads, deadlines, and partner relationships simultaneously with accuracy and professionalism.
</li><li>Team collaboration - Works effectively within a passionate, community focused team environment, reflecting the charity&rsquo;s inclusive values.
</li><li>IT proficiency - Competent in CRM systems, email communication, and standard office software to track partner engagement and fundraising activity.
