<div>Description Burns &amp; McDonnell India (BMI) is seeking a driven Civil Engineer to join our Environmental (ENS) Division in support of a wide variety of US-based projects. The ENS team supports engineering design and study efforts that include solid waste and resource recovery facilities, remediation sites, stormwater management structures, water/wastewater systems, utility facilities, and other municipal, industrial, and environmental infrastructure projects. This role will focus on civil and environmental design projects using ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, StormCAD, Engineering Calculation templates, etc. while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary US project teams. Candidates will support civil engineering and design activities, collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams, and develop technical skills with opportunities to take on increasing responsibility over time.
Responsibilities
<ul><li>Perform civil and environmental design tasks under the guidance of senior engineers from conceptual development through detailed design and construction support, including grading, utilities, drainage, and site development.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Develop and review design drawings such as site layouts, grading plans, excavation drawings, road plans and profiles, typical sections, cross sections, and general arrangement drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Support site civil design for facilities such as solid waste infrastructure, stormwater systems, resource recovery facilities, and water/wastewater-related structures.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Work with project teams to modify plans, designs, and production drawings in response to budget constraints, regulatory requirements, or client needs.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Research and compile project data, perform engineering calculations, and assist in preparing technical reports, studies, and cost estimates to help clients evaluate project options.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Provide technical support for civil and environmental permitting efforts in coordination with US teams.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Assist with technical coordination and quality control tasks, and communication with US engineering leads as directed.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Assist with interdisciplinary coordination and clash checks; help resolve conflicts with other engineering disciplines.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Provide construction phase support services including assistance with preparation of construction quality assurance (CQA) documentation.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Collaborate with team members and contribute to team knowledge sharing.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Support relationship-building with US offices as part of ongoing project work.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Qualifications
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in civil engineering from a recognized institution.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Minimum 2&ndash;5 years of experience in civil design for water/wastewater or site/civil infrastructure projects.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Basic to intermediary working knowledge of US codes and standards.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Proficient in Civil 3D and familiar with StormCAD, Civil Storm, ESRI ArcOnline, and Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote).</li></ul>
<ul><li>Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem solving skills.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Demonstrated experience working independently on complex site/civil design tasks.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Good Communication skills in English (verbal &amp; written).</li></ul>

Civil Engineer - ENS (Mumbai)

<div>Description
The Assistant Mechanical Engineer will work under the supervision of a licensed professional engineer to assist project teams to create world class designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments on a variety of projects including power, process, corporate, healthcare, pipeline, airports, institutional, industrial, manufacturing, government, and military facilities. The Assistant Mechanical Engineer will work with the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting mechanical plans according to budget constraints, design factors, or client needs.
<ul><li>Assists in the mechanical design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion.</li>
<li>Assists with modifying and reviewing production drawings for a variety of projects including, but not limited to power plants, process facilities, industrial facilities, healthcare facilities, airports, educational institutions, commercial, and governmental and military facilities.</li>
<li>Assists in designing mechanical components for project needs and requirements that are set forth by the project managers.</li>
<li>Applies basic knowledge of commonly used mechanical engineering/design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures within the mechanical engineering services industry.</li>
<li>Assists with research and compiles project related data as required by the project managers.</li>
<li>Assists with correcting and updating drawings provided by senior engineers to verify corrections are made within multiple CAD related software.</li>
<li>Assists with client presentations, shop drawing review, and contract administration for the design of power, process, pipeline, industrial, healthcare, airports, educational institutions, commercial, and governmental and military facilities.</li>
<li>Assists in performing field inspections, measurements, or calculations for public and private clients.</li>
<li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>
<li>Complies with all policies and standards.</li>
</ul>Qualifications
<ul><li>Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program required.</li>
<li>Or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or related Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.</li>
<li>Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.</li>
<li>Basic knowledge in standard mechanical engineering techniques, principles, and procedures.</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li>
<li>Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.</li>
<li>Proficient computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).</li>
<li>Basic computer skills include AutoCAD, BIM (Revit), 3D Rendering Programs, hydraulic analysis, and HVAC analysis programs.</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>Demonstrated leadership skills.</li>
<li>Engineers in Training-EIT Certification preferred.</li>
<li>Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Involvement on campus or in the community preferred.</li>
<li>Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located.</li>
