<div>Burrow Global has an immediate need for an experienced Sr. Piping Designer for a long term assignment with an oil and gas company located in downtown Houston.

The primary responsibilities of the Piping Designer, Senior shall include: Facilitate project design and drafting as necessary to ensure the successful completion of all project related activities.
<ul>
<li>Assigning equipment, instrument, and valve tagging numbers</li>
<li>Assigning piping line numbers</li>
<li>Resolving drawing development issues</li>
<li>Drafting changes to record drawings Preparation of process flow diagrams (PFD), piping &amp; instrument diagrams (P&amp;ID), general equipment layouts, facility plot plans, and equipment and instrument lists for various company plant, pipeline and related facilities construction projects.</li>
<li>Assist in the development of Project Scopes, Engineering / Design Scopes, and Construction Scopes of Work, for use in the establishment of contracts with third parties.</li>
<li>Attend project meetings to obtain full understanding of customer needs and scope definitions, and to provide technical input toward efficient and effective designs.</li>
<li>Assist in the review of man hour estimates and work schedules to assure efficiency in the execution of projects.</li>
<li>Assist in coordinating the distribution of design packages related to projects to ensure that all stakeholders are allowed input, and that all necessary information is exchanged.</li>
<li>Provide design and drafting services for time / budget critical projects. Provide design and drafting services associated with the preliminary development of potential projects.</li>
<li>Communicate with vendors for materials quotes and availability of materials.</li>
<li>Create parts lists by performing material take-offs to ensure the timely availability of items. Development of material data sheets.</li>
<li>Generate material requisitions for submittal to project manager for approvals. Maintain record of documents and correspondence pertaining to technical design issues throughout the development of projects.</li>
<li>Participate in the development and maintenance of Company standard drawings.</li>
<li>Maintain a high level of expertise in necessary areas of design and drafting and ensure access to specialty resources and technology.</li>
<li>Assist in the development and implementation of specifications and procedures related to the handling of department business to facilitate lower costs in the creation and maintenance of drawings and documentation.</li>
<li>Coordinate with Project Managers, purchasing agents, inspectors, engineering contractors, and construction contractors relating to design drawing content, materials and construction issues.</li>
<li>Coordinate with Project Managers and Engineering on design and project logistical issues to assure effective, linear progress of the project.</li>
<li>Generate Pre-Assessment Letter &ldquo;PAL&rdquo; for approval when required, for in-service welds. Provide the drafting associated with daily operation of the system along with coordinating with CADD Operator.</li>
<li>Provide guidance so to enhance the ability of others to obtain required information through the use of departmentally developed tools and methods.</li>
</ul>
Position requirements:

Associates Degree in drafting and 10 years of piping design experience

Autocad and CadWorx experience

Active TWIC Card
