Since 2008, our lawyers have secured multi-million-dollar verdicts or settlements in every one of our six class jury trials.Position Summary:Our Walnut Creek office is seeking a Staff Attorney to join our Data Broker Team and assist with large-scale projects. This role offers immediate, hands-on litigation experience in a growing and dynamic practice area. The Staff Attorney will support the team across all phases of litigation &mdash; from intake to settlement &mdash; with a focus on efficiency, organization, and high-volume case management.Staff Attorneys at Bursor &amp; Fisher work closely with partners, associates, and senior team members. While this role will not involve drafting full legal briefs, it will provide substantial exposure to federal and state filings.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Draft and manage short-form complaints and litigation filings.</li><li>Assist with client intake, discovery, and settlement preparation across a large case volume.</li><li>Oversee case management, scheduling and calendaring for a significant number of matters.</li><li>Review and respond to written discovery requests.</li><li>Coordinate and analyze large-scale document productions.</li><li>Support attorneys in federal filings, hearings, mediations, and conferences.</li><li>Communicate professionally with co-counsel, opposing counsel, and clients.</li><li>Review and analyze document productions.</li><li>Ensure organization and accuracy in managing multiple active mass tort matters.</li><li>Work collaboratively with the team, with mentorship provided by the team.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.</li><li>Active member of the California Bar in good standing.</li><li>Substantial litigation experience required.</li><li>Experience with California state court filings and federal court filings preferred.</li><li>Exceptional writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.</li><li>Strong organizational skills and ability to manage high-volume caseloads.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a collaborative team.</li><li>Experience in drafting complaints, calendar management, discovery, or federal filings is preferred.</li></ul>Compensation &amp; Benefits:<ul><li>Health, Dental, Vision, Life, STD &amp; LTD Insurance</li><li>Full coverage of parking and tolls</li><li>401(k) plan</li><li>Generous Paid Time off and holiday schedule</li><li>Other Perks &ndash; Gym membership, office amenities, and in-office meals</li><li>Opportunity to lead meaningful, high-impact litigation</li></ul>Bursor &amp; Fisher, P.A., is an equal opportunity employer.
