</p><p>As an AI Solutions Engineer at ButterflyMX, you&rsquo;ll bring cutting-edge AI tools into the daily operations of a fast-growing SaaS company. You&rsquo;ll design, build, and deliver pragmatic AI solutions that save time, reduce friction, and improve decision-making for our teams. You&rsquo;ll act as a hands-on builder and problem-solver focused on turning ideas into working prototypes and scaling those prototypes into production-ready tools that deliver measurable business value. This role reports to the AI Solutions Lead and is eligible for fully remote work (inside the continental US).</p><p></p><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Responsibilities:</b></h3><ul>
<li>Rapidly prototype, test, and deploy AI-powered tools such as copilots, automations, knowledge assistants, and agents.</li>
<li>Implement RAG pipelines, prompt engineering, and orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, etc.).</li>
<li>Partner with business teams to understand workflows and identify opportunities for AI acceleration.<br>
Work closely with data, engineering, and security teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and compliance of deployed solutions.</li>
<li>Maintain and contribute to a backlog of AI initiatives, prioritizing those with clear business impact.</li>
<li>Monitor performance and adoption, track KPIs, and iterate on solutions to maximize effectiveness.</li>
<li>Contribute to internal documentation, demos, and training to help colleagues become fluent AI users.</li>
<li>Provide technical support during workshops, office hours, and stakeholder pilots.</li>
<li>Evaluate emerging AI platforms, frameworks, and APIs with a pragmatic lens for business value.</li>
Share insights with the team and contribute to scaling best practices into playbooks and repeatable patterns.<br>

</b></h3><ul><li>Strong hands-on experience as a technical IC (e.g., software engineering, ML, data engineering, or automation).</li>
<li>Proficiency with modern AI tooling (OpenAI, Claude, LangChain, Hugging Face, vector DBs, agents, RAG pipelines).</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to scope, build, and deliver working solutions from idea to impact.</li>
<li>Solid understanding of APIs, data pipelines, and software deployment practices.</li>
<li>Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. You can explain technical concepts clearly and engage with non-technical stakeholders.</li>
<li>Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerized deployments (preferred).<br>
Previous work on copilots, chatbots, or workflow automation tools (preferred).</li>
<li>Strong product sense, you can see through the hype to spot practical, high-leverage use cases (preferred).</li>

Responsibilities:
</b></h3><ul><li>Lead training sessions, workshops, and office hours to upskill developers on AI-assisted development, code generation, and debugging.</li>
<li>Design and maintain internal playbooks, best practices, and evaluation frameworks for AI use in the SDLC.<br>
Partner with engineering leaders to shape interview strategies that fairly and effectively evaluate AI-related skills.</li>
<li>Trial emerging AI-powered IDEs, copilots, and dev tools; synthesize findings; and make recommendations for adoption.</li>
<li>Manage access to AI services (API keys, usage monitoring, budget tracking) to ensure secure, responsible, and cost-effective usage.</li>
<li>Benchmark and compare tools for performance, developer experience, and ROI.</li>
<li>Identify and deliver agentic solutions across the SDLC (e.g., automated code review, test generation, documentation assistants, issue triage).</li>
<li>Work with platform and DevOps teams to integrate AI tools into CI/CD pipelines where appropriate.<br>
Collaborate with security and InfoSec to ensure responsible use of AI within the development process.</li>
<li>Track adoption, developer satisfaction, and measurable improvements in development speed and quality.<br>
Provide clear reporting to stakeholders on AI&rsquo;s role in accelerating engineering outcomes.</li>

</b></h3><ul><li>Strong technical foundation as a software engineer, developer advocate, or similar role.</li>
<li>Familiarity with modern AI developer tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Codeium, Tabnine, AWS/GCP/Azure copilots).</li>
<li>Experience integrating AI into developer workflows or driving tooling adoption within an engineering org.</li>
<li>Clear, engaging communication skills for running training sessions, presenting tool evaluations, and influencing developer practices.</li>
<li>Strong organizational skills: you can track API usage, manage budgets, and keep multiple trials and pilots on course.</li>
<li>Hands-on work with AI frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Hugging Face in engineering contexts (preferred).</li>
<li>Experience with CI/CD automation, DevOps, or developer platform engineering (preferred).</li>
<li>Knowledge of secure coding practices and AI governance concerns (preferred).</li>
Previous experience in developer enablement, productivity engineering, or engineering management (preferred).<br>
