Customer Service Associate (Part Time)

Location: Portland, OR
Job Summary
The Customer Service Associate is a multi-faceted, customer-facing role responsible for managing customer check-ins, directing parking lot traffic for safety and efficiency, and accurately receiving and processing customer returns, refunds, and initial inventory documentation.
Responsibilities
Customer Traffic and Curbside Management:<ul><li>
Check in customers in the parking lot and provide directional guidance to the appropriate waiting or parking spot.</li><li>
Direct parking lot traffic using clear instructions to ensure safety and prevent congestion.</li></ul>
Returns Processing:<ul><li>
Receive returns from customers, gather necessary information, and document the condition and reason for return so items can be sent back to processing.</li><li>
Educate customers on BuyWander's return policies and accurately process returns and refunds in the system.</li></ul>
Restocking and Inventory Processing:<ul><li>
Inspect returned items to verify condition and process them accordingly.</li><li>
Restock warehouse shelves for &quot;Changed Mind&quot; items, ensuring new locations are scanned and updated in the system.</li></ul>
Requirements:

Qualifications<ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>
Previous experience in a customer service, retail, or warehouse environment is preferred but not required.</li><li>
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and inventory management.</li><li>
Excellent customer service skills and professional communication.</li><li>
Comfortable using computers and various software programs.</li><li>
Problem-solving skills to handle customer inquiries and return issues.</li><li>
Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.</li></ul>
Physical Requirements
This role involves sustained physical activity throughout the shift. The following are bona fide requirements of the position:<ul><li>
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.</li><li>
Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.</li><li>
Ability to bend, stoop, and reach overhead frequently.</li><li>
Ability to work at a fast pace in a goal-driven environment.</li><li>
Position requires seeing, hearing, use of hands and fingers, sitting, standing, walking, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping in the performance of daily activities.</li><li>

This position requires working both indoors and outdoors as business needs require. Reports To: Inventory Operations Supervisor
Location: Chicago (Addison), IL
Job Summary
The Product Handler &ndash; Stower is responsible for accurately moving processed inventory into designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper organization, and maintaining inventory accuracy within the BuyWander warehouse.
Responsibilities
The Product Handler &ndash; Stower supports warehouse inventory operations and must be prepared to perform any of the following duties:
Inventory Placement and Scanning<ul><li>
Accurately scan newly processed items onto a Put-Away cart, ensuring nothing moves in the warehouse without being scanned.</li><li>
Navigate to an open put-away location, scan the location barcode, and verify that the location on your screen matches the sticker on the shelf.</li><li>
Place items into their verified locations.</li><li>
Meet or exceed UPH goals.</li></ul>
Warehouse Organization and Maintenance<ul><li>
Place items on shelves according to stacking rules and perform a rolling inventory scan of all items currently in that location.</li><li>
Adhere to strict stacking rules, including not stacking same or similar items together.</li><li>
Ensure SKU numbers are facing right-side-up and outward for easy reading.</li><li>
Correctly place small and bagged items into the smalls bin on each aisle.</li><li>
Place micro items into the small bin-wall.</li><li>
Maintain clean aisle hygiene.</li></ul>
Technology Operation<ul><li>
Use a smartphone and scanner to perform all put-away and inventory verification tasks.</li></ul>
Requirements:

Qualifications<ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>
Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.</li><li>
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.</li><li>
Ability to operate a smartphone and Bluetooth scanner.</li><li>
Ability to manage technology to accomplish tasks.</li></ul>

Job Summary
The Order Fulfillment Associate is responsible for the fast, accurate, and physically demanding process of fulfilling customer orders at the BuyWander warehouse. This role involves continuous, rapid movement throughout the warehouse and quickly running orders out for customer pickup. This is a highly physical, full-time position requiring the ability to move quickly and efficiently all day.
Responsibilities
This role demands high energy and constant motion. The core responsibilities focus on speed and accuracy.
High-Speed Order Running (Customer Carryout):<ul><li>
Quickly claim, grab, verify, and deliver customer orders.</li><li>
Assist customers with carrying orders to their vehicles at a fast pace.</li><li>
Ensure that every item is accurately scanned out before leaving the building.</li></ul>
Customer Service:<ul><li>
Provide service with a smile, greeting customers and thanking them for their patronage.</li><li>
Maintain a clean and organized fulfillment area.</li><li>
Answer customer questions and direct advanced inquiries to a supervisor.</li></ul>
Requirements:

Qualifications<ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>
Previous experience in a fast-paced or physically demanding environment is preferred but not required.</li><li>
Forklift certification is a plus.</li><li>
Proven ability to move quickly and sustain high-energy work throughout the entire shift.</li><li>
