<div>We&rsquo;re looking for a highly motivated Social Media &amp; PR Manager to lead day-to-day publishing, storytelling, and press engagement across our brands. This role blends creative execution with communications savvy &mdash; equally comfortable drafting captions as pitching editors. You&rsquo;ll help shape our public voice, ensure consistent visibility, and amplify stories that move people and strengthen our brand presence.
This is a 100% in-office - right here in Walnut Creek
What you&rsquo;ll do:
Social Media (50%)<ul><li>
Manage and deploy content daily across platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)</li><li>
Maintain the content calendar, ensure posts align with marketing and brand priorities</li><li>
Write compelling captions and short-form copy that reflect the company voice</li><li>
Collaborate with design and copy teams to produce engaging, high-quality content</li><li>
Monitor engagement, respond to comments and messages, and identify opportunities for amplification</li><li>
Track performance metrics and report insights to guide strategy</li></ul>
Public Relations (50%)<ul><li>
Write, edit, and distribute press releases, op-eds, and announcements</li><li>
Build and maintain relationships with media, influencers, and partners</li><li>
Pitch stories and secure earned media placements</li><li>
Maintain and update media lists and coverage tracking</li><li>
Coordinate interviews, speaker opportunities, and press events</li><li>
Ensure consistent brand messaging across all external communications</li></ul>
What makes you qualified:<ul><li>
Strong writer and communicator with a pulse on digital trends</li><li>
Skilled at juggling multiple priorities and working cross-functionally</li><li>
Confident managing publishing tools (Sprout, Planable, or similar)</li><li>
Experienced in media outreach and familiar with editorial timelines</li><li>
Creative, reliable, and proactive &mdash; thrives in a fast-paced environment</li><li>
3&ndash;5 years experience in social media management or PR (agency or brand side)</li></ul>
Bonus Points<ul><li>
Background in marketing, communications, or journalism</li><li>
Experience working with thought leaders, startups, or mission-driven brands</li><li>
Comfort producing short-form video or light editing in Canva/Adobe tools</li></ul>
Compensation will be determined by factors including knowledge and skills, role-specific qualifications, and experience.
Base Salary: 75-85k USD
