Position Overview:
<div>
The Senior Systems Engineer will play a critical role in the planning, development, and execution of delivery orders (DOs), contributing both as a technical leader and hands-on engineer. This individual will be responsible for guiding systems engineering efforts across the full lifecycle, from initial concept and requirements development through testing, verification, and final delivery.</div><div></div><div><br>
This role requires close collaboration with internal teams and government stakeholders and may involve occasional travel to customer sites or test events. A hybrid work environment is possible when not required to be on-site for customer meetings or test events. The program reserves the right to require on-site work if program execution and success dictates.</div><div></div><div><br>
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.</div>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Lead and support the development of delivery orders (DOs) from initiation through completion on military simulation system applications</li><li>
Analyze, decompose, and define systems-level requirements aligned with customer needs</li><li>
Design system architectures and ensure integration across multiple subsystems</li><li>
Develop and execute system verification and validation plans</li><li>
Coordinate and participate in milestone testing events with government customers</li><li>
Coordinate, develop, and deliver technical CDRL documentation in accordance with project DD-1423 and DID requirements</li><li>
Coordinate and direct project staff to develop operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting scenarios</li><li>
Ensure technical performance, quality, and compliance with contractual requirements</li><li>
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, graphics, and program management</li><li>
Serve as the primary technical interface with customers, stakeholders, and end users &mdash; building and maintaining relationships throughout the project lifecycle</li><li>
Organize and conduct integration events, technical briefings, and planning events for audiences ranging from instructors and subject matter experts (SMEs) to requirements owners and program leadership</li><li>
Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies throughout the system lifecycle</li><li>
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers</li></ul>
Required Experience/Qualifications:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field</li><li>
10+ years of experience in systems engineering or related discipline</li><li>
Demonstrated experience with systems engineering lifecycle processes (requirements, design, integration, test, and verification)</li><li>
Experience with AGILE development<ul><li>
Certified Scrum Product Owner or Certified Scrum Master is a plus</li></ul></li><li>
Experience with development in high fidelity game engines (Unity Preferred)</li><li>
MS Office applications including MS Project</li><li>
Experience working with government customers and understanding of DoD acquisition processes</li><li>
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills</li><li>
Ability to lead technical efforts and manage competing priorities</li></ul>
Preferred Experience/Qualifications:
<ul><li>Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies</li><li>
Familiarity with systems engineering standards (e.g., INCOSE, ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288)</li><li>
Prior experience supporting defense or aerospace programs</li></ul>
Special Requirements/Security Clearance:
