In a nutshell:

The Technical Trainer is responsible for providing high-quality training to customers on the proper use, maintenance, and operation of equipment. This role involves both classroom instruction and hands-on training to ensure customers can effectively utilize the equipment and software to maximize its performance, safety, and longevity. The trainer will also be tasked with creating training materials, maintaining training records, and assessing the effectiveness of training programs.

Key tasks and Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Conduct on-site and/or virtual training sessions for customers on the proper use of equipment and/or software.</li><li>
Provide both theoretical and practical instruction on equipment operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.</li><li>
Deliver training on safety procedures and best practices to minimize risk and ensure compliance.</li><li>
Adjust training methods to accommodate varying skill levels and customer needs.</li><li>
Design and develop training materials, including user guides, presentations, and e-learning modules.</li><li>
Regularly update training content to reflect changes in equipment technology, features, or industry standards.</li><li>
Ensure training programs align with company goals and customer requirements.</li><li>
Provide follow-up support to ensure customers are effectively implementing training and using equipment correctly.</li><li>
Assess customer understanding and competency through evaluations, assessments, and hands-on demonstrations.</li><li>
Collect feedback from customers to improve training effectiveness and content.</li><li>
Maintain accurate records of all training sessions, including attendance, assessments, and feedback.</li><li>
Track customer satisfaction and effectiveness of training initiatives.</li><li>
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, equipment technologies, and training techniques.</li><li>
Participate in professional development opportunities and collaborate with other trainers to share best practices.</li></ul>

Your education &amp; experience:
<ul><li>
2-5 years of experience in training, preferably within an equipment or technical field.</li><li>
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, complemented by a focus on setting goals and driving plans into action.?</li><li>
Hands-on experience with the equipment or products being trained on is highly preferred.</li></ul>

Technical Trainer

<div>Field Service Engineer

Are you someone who enjoys traveling, exploring, and connecting with new people? Then the Field Service Engineer position at Bystronic is perfect for you! As a Field Service Engineer you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting and repairing Bystronic Laser Cutting and Automation systems, and Press Brake Machines. The ideal candidate would live in the IA Region. This position requires 80% travel, Monday-Friday. 


Your Responsibilities:
<ul><li><div>
Install, repair, commission and troubleshoot machine tools.</div></li><li><div>
Deliver top-notch technical support to customers to guarantee the peak performance of sheet metal machinery.</div></li><li><div>
Enter service reports.</div></li><li><div>
Diagnose mechanical, and electrical problems, performing mechanical and electrical repairs, install new machines.</div></li><li><div>
Provide training guidance on machine operation, maintenance, and safety at customer locations to achieve optimal productivity.</div></li></ul>
Your Expected Qualifications:
<ul><li>
High school diploma required. Additional education such as an associates or technical school degree in engineering or related is preferred.</li><li>
Hands on experience in field service of large machinery, or machine tool installation, repair and preventative service.</li><li>
Customer Service Focus.</li><li>
The ability to travel 100%, primarily within the United States. Occasional international travel may be required.</li></ul>

We would also love if you had:

Electrical and mechanical machine troubleshooting experience.</li><li>
Ability to work overtime and including weekends as needed.</li><li>
A valid driver&rsquo;s license and the ability to rent a car.</li><li>
A Passport</li><li>
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.</li><li>
Able to bend, push, pull and stand for long periods of time.</li><li>
Excellent oral and written communication skills.</li></ul>

Familiarity with Apple products (iPhone, iPad)</li><li>

Understands the relationship between axis motors and feedback systems for each axis.</li><li>
