Sourcing/Procurement Manager Location: On-Site, Tucson, AZ, 3 days a week Duration: 12 monthsResponsible for executing Direct Procurement Operations activities for Roche Tissue Diagnostics, ensuring alignment with Category Management strategies. Focuses on supplier management, escalations, master data management, cost savings, and continuous improvement.Qualifications:<ul><li>University degree, with a business-related degree, preferably a post-graduate business qualification PLUS 3+ years of procurement experience with experience in basic contracting, business enterprise systems, and spot buying.</li><li>Experience or demonstrated understanding in supporting cost reduction and value improvement programs.</li><li>Experience in operational excellence or continuous improvement methodologies as well as experience in Life Sciences are a plus.</li><li>Experience with enterprise systems and procure-to-pay tools and eSourcing tools is desired.</li></ul>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:<ul><li>Understands and frequently uses quantitative and / or qualitative data to drive decisions. Identifies risks to support statements or hypotheses</li><li>Works independently to develop and implement a negotiation plan / strategy. May need assistance in leading complex or challenging negotiations</li><li>Good communication skills and demonstrated understanding of translating business requirements into procurement specifications with customer service in mind.</li><li>Tailors messages and communications appropriately with limited supervision to ensure understanding</li><li>Contributes to meetings and team presentations/briefings and asks appropriate questions to gather information</li><li>Basic level of proficiency in business enterprise tools and understanding of the end-to-end procurement process</li><li>Competence or fluency in other sub-region languages is strongly encouraged</li><li>Travel requirements: 2 locations near Tucson to go between.
