Position Summary</h2>
C5T is seeking a Junior Developer to support the documentation and maintenance of software architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs-and to develop code under the guidance of senior engineers. The Junior Developer will integrate software components, assist with testing to verify requirements, and support troubleshooting in a structured, standards-driven environment.
Location: Scott Air Force Base, IL (and/or designated C5T offices; limited telework may be available based on mission need).
Key Responsibilities<ul><li>
Develop and maintain code; integrate software components into a functional software system.</li><li>
Assist in creating and executing unit and component tests to verify software requirements.</li><li>
Support software design and documentation using established methods, tools, and standards.</li><li>
Troubleshoot defects of limited scope; collaborate to propose and implement fixes.</li><li>
Contribute to build and integration activities; compile components and conduct limited target-environment testing.</li><li>
Gather information to support software project management; document processes, tools, and basic metrics.</li><li>
Assist in specifying and maintaining software requirements under senior engineer guidance.</li><li>
Participate in research, prototypes, and continuous improvement activities.</li><li>
Document work in accordance with policy and security requirements.</li><li>
Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Required Qualifications<ul><li>
Active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.</li><li>
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).</li><li>
Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills; ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">
Desired Qualifications</h2><ul><li>
Experience creating error-free code under direction of senior developers.</li><li>
Exposure to Windows and web development environments.</li><li>
Experience writing software documentation (requirements, design notes, user guidance).</li><li>
Familiarity with unit testing frameworks and modern development toolchains (e.g., Git).</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">
