CARES of Central PA Lewistown Day Program has an immediate need for a Program Specialist in Lewistown, PA.CARES of Central PA Day Program provides person-centered services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our goal is to ensure that individuals are not just in the community, but are known as a valuable part of their community.As a Program Specialist for the Day Program, you will oversee and coordinate the program to support the community-based program including:<ul><li>Thorough knowledge of 2380 Licensing Regulations</li><li>Ensure program site is in compliance with 2380 State Licensing Regulations, preparing throughout the year</li><li>Ensure quality of services and client files are maintained in accordance with DPW regulations</li><li>Participate in the interview and selection process, orientation, evaluation and supervision of the Direct Support Staff</li><li>Coordinate special VIP activities such as holiday luncheons, VIP recognition, etc.</li><li>Track training for direct support staff</li><li>Organize and conduct staff meetings</li><li>Conduct medication administration trainings for Day Program staff and do annual practicums</li><li>Track day program incidents in HCSIS and attend Incident Management meetings and trainings</li><li>Keep current in required professional development trainings</li><li>Assist the coordinator and director of day programs and perform other duties as assigned</li><li>Operate a motor vehicle in a safe manner at all times according to applicable state laws</li></ul>Qualified candidates will have:<ul><li>Master's Degree in a related field including social work, psychology, special education, or human services and one (1) year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities OR</li><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in a related field including social work, psychology, special education, or human services and two (2) years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities OR</li><li>Associate's Degree in a related field including social work, psychology, special education, or human services and four (4) years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities</li><li>Current certifications in First Aid and CPR</li><li>Proficient in MS Office including Word, Outlook, and Google Docs</li><li>Proficient in HCSIS, the DPW incident reporting system and the agency data system</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license</li></ul>All candidates must be able to secure a PA State Background Check.Benefit Conditions:<ul><li>Waiting period may apply</li><li>Only full-time employees eligible</li></ul>Pay Frequency:<ul><li>Bi weekly or Twice monthly</li></ul>Work Remotely<ul><li>No</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: From $19.60 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
