 We have an immediate opening for a mid-to-senior-level museum exhibition graphic designer. This position is ideal for an established designer with a minimum of 3&ndash;5 years of solid experience working in a collaborative design environment. We are looking for a designer who is curious, positive, passionate, and has new ideas to share.
 
 
 Our studio is unique: we undertake projects that involve multiple kinds of in-house design specialists at the same time, from media designers, to architects, graphic designers, writers and more. Projects will always encompass more than one design discipline, and we welcome designers who are interested in working across fields.
 
 
 
 Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Mentoring less-experienced museum exhibition graphic designers
 </li>
 <li>
 Pushing the boundaries of museum exhibition graphic design excellence for this client type
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent verbal and written communication, including directly with clients
 </li>
 <li>
 Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
 </li>
 <li>
 Positive attitude and takes criticism well
 </li>
 <li>
 Self-motivated and independent thinker with strong communication skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Organized and able to follow up on long and short-term projects
 </li>
 <li>
 Flexibility to work independently and be a team player when necessary
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability and willingness to adapt to rapidly changing priorities
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate and coordinate work with team, including other graphic designers, 3D designers, content team, media team, and outside consultants
 </li>
 <li>
 Liaise with exhibit fabricator, project architect, and client
 </li>
 <li>
 Help plan project timelines
 </li>
 <li>
 HTML, AfterEffects, 3D software like SketchUp are all a plus but are not required
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience reading architectural drawings is a plus but we can teach you
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Requirements
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Excellent design skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent typography skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Well-versed in working with imagery, color, and grids
 </li>
 <li>
 3&ndash;5 years of experience
 </li>
 <li>
 Advanced skills in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
 </li>
 <li>
 A well-organized and detail-oriented, can-do attitude
 </li>
 <li>
 Comfort working as part of a team and leading junior designers
 </li>
 <li>
 Articulate and poised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience working in exhibitions
 </li>
 <li>
 Be able to communicate and collaborate with other creatives, architects, and fabricators, with experience in sending artwork for pre-production and production.
 </li>
 <li>
 An understanding of physical design materials

 Our company is located in New York City. We are currently a hybrid workplace with in-office days. Because a significant portion of our work involves hands-on tasks such as examining materials and collaborating closely with our team, we are specifically seeking candidates who are based locally to ensure seamless participation in these on-site activities.
 
 
 
 Details And How To Apply
 
 
 
 Salary range: $70,000 - $85,000
