This paid role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to make a meaningful impact in the field of orthotics and prosthetics.Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist with patient intake processes, including gathering relevant medical history and understanding patient needs</li><li>Prepare, modify, and assemble orthotic and prosthetic devices using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques in a fabrication shop environment</li><li>Ensure proper ICD coding for billing and documentation purposes in electronic health records (EHR) systems</li><li>Follow aseptic techniques during device fabrication and fitting procedures to maintain hygiene standards</li><li>Collaborate with clinicians on device adjustments, fittings, and patient care plans to optimize comfort and functionality</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation of fabrication steps, patient interactions, and device modifications in medical terminology</li><li>Communicate effectively with clients to explain device usage, care instructions, and answer questions about orthotics or prosthetics</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Prior experience in fabrication shop environments or hands-on work with hand tools and power tools used in orthotic/prosthetic fabrication</li><li>Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, orthopedics, and medical terminology relevant to orthotics and prosthetics</li><li>Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management systems for documentation purposes</li><li>Basic life support certification preferred to ensure safety during patient interactions</li><li>Excellent client communication skills with a focus on patient service and education</li><li>Ability to perform intake assessments accurately and follow detailed fabrication procedures</li><li>Knowledge of DME (Durable Medical Equipment), orthotics, prosthetics, ICD coding, aseptic techniques, and client-centered care practices</li></ul>Join us in transforming lives through innovative orthotic and prosthetic solutions!
