<div>Position Summary: The Dump Truck Driver&rsquo;s primary function is to safely operate the dump truck and securely transport materials from one location to another. This position may assist with other project responsibilities and operating a variety of heavy equipment.

Essential Functions:
<ul>
<li>Must follow all company policies and procedures and OSHA regulations to properly maintain a safe working environment at all times.</li>
<li>Responsible for the safe loading, securing and unloading of construction and paving equipment at work sites in a safe and timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations.</li>
<li>Must be knowledgeable of all DOT and FMCSA safety regulations for operating the truck and securing cargo.</li>
<li>Must be familiar with the safe operation of construction and/or paving equipment.</li>
<li>Responsible for daily pre-trip and post-trip checks on the truck for leaks, damage, proper fluid levels (oil, water, fuel) and ensuring mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.</li>
<li>Must accurately maintain daily vehicle mileage logs.</li>
<li>Must obey all applicable laws and regulations while operating the truck.</li>
<li>Responsible for notifying Shop Foreman if the truck needs maintenance or repair.</li>
<li>Must carry a current medical examiners certificate while operating the truck.</li>
<li>Perform additional duties and incidental work as directed.</li>
</ul>
Required Skills/Abilities:
<ul>
<li>Must be able to pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state transportation regulations.</li>
<li>Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions.</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak in a professional and courteous manner with customers and coworkers.</li>
<li>Ability to remain flexible with work hours and work overtime as required for project completion.</li>
<li>Ability to perform manual labor and outside work in all weather conditions including inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.</li>
<li>Must use Personal Protective Equipment and have a strong commitment to following safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.</li>
</ul>
Education and Experience:
Must possess a current Commercial Drivers&rsquo; License with a Class A or B endorsement; Driving record must meet liability insurance regulations; High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas.</li>
<li>Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.</li>
<li>Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
</li><li>Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds and push and/or pull 50-pound loads at a time.</li>
<li>Must be able to work in all weather conditions.</li>
<li>Must be able to work some Saturdays and at night, when needed.</li></ul></div>
