What you&rsquo;ll do</b></h2>
</div><div><ul><li>Create new Outside Plant (OSP) network designs in various applications/software</li><li>
Develop and issue work prints for OSP Telecom networks</li><li>
Work with Engineering and Construction departments and coordinate with permitting agencies</li><li>
Create documentation and reporting to support the work package, ie: bill of materials, labor quantities, etc.</li><li>
Ensure facility designs follow company standards and comply with the requirements of local, state and federal regulations, which may include Rural Utilities Service (RUS)</li><li>
Provide any documentation required for the cost-effective placement of communication facilities</li><li>
Meet project deadlines and successfully complete tasks under tight timelines</li><li>

What you&rsquo;ll need</b></h2>
</div><div><ul><li>To be 18 years of age or older</li><li>
Authorization to work in the United States for this company</li><li>
High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or at least three years of telecommunications OSP Design/Engineering Experience is required</li><li>
Associate&rsquo;s or Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred</li></ul><p><b>
Knowledge of</b></p><ul><li>
Telecommunications industry standards</li><li>
Regulations for OSP facilities</li><li>
Aerial, buried and underground construction methods and engineering requirements</li><li>
Government permit requirements</li><li>
OSP Communications Design systems</li><li>
Applications such as NDS, FROGS, AutoCAD, Fireworks, Bidmaster, Infinium and/or Varasset</li><li>
Knowledge of fiber optic counts, fiber assignments and splicing schematics in a high-density fiber environment</li></ul><p><b>
Physical abilities &amp; exposures</b></p><ul><li><b>
Routinely</b>: Work alone in remote locations, use keyboard and mouse</li><li><b>
Occasionally</b>: Operate vehicle, climb stairs, stand, walk</li></ul></div></div></div>
