 Responsibilities
 
 
 
 As an
 
 Apprentice Simulator Engineer
 
 , you&rsquo;ll have hands-on training and exposure to all technical and operational aspects of Flight Simulator Training Devices and Cabin Crew Training Devices. Key responsibilities and growth opportunities include:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Technical Support &amp; Maintenance: Learn to support, monitor, and maintain simulator training devices, attending to flight crew and maintenance requests, ensuring daily operational readiness, and performing scheduled preventive maintenance.
 </li>
 <li>
 Troubleshooting &amp; Problem Resolution: Develop the skills to identify, diagnose, and resolve issues and Aircraft On Ground (AOG) events on training devices, working towards long-term, permanent solutions for recurring issues.
 </li>
 <li>
 Continuous Improvement: Play a part in improving maintenance procedures, and learn to handle recurrent updates like Nav DB, Terr DB, and EFB Charts. Support updates to operational software and ensure lesson plan accuracy.
 </li>
 <li>
 Inventory &amp; Logistics Management: Gain experience managing consumable inventory, tools, and logistics, including handling yearly inventories, organizing storage, and preparing items for shipping.
 </li>
 <li>
 Skills Growth: With continuous learning, strive to become an expert in simulator systems, such as Visual Systems, Motion, or Flight Controls.

 Qualifications And Skills Required

 Education: Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Aviation-related fields.

 Aviation Knowledge: Foundational understanding of various aircraft, especially commercial jetliners (e.g., Airbus family), and general aviation and training device terminology.

 <li>
 Language Proficiency: A Strong command of English (reading, writing, and speaking) is essential.
 </li>
 <li>
 Customer Focus: Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
 </li>

 Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with computer systems, including architecture, networking, operating systems, and basic programming languages.

 About This Role
 
 
 
 As a
 
 Simulator Technician
 
 , the incumbent will support all training center operations activities to provide smooth, efficient, and high-quality service at a brand-new Training Center located in Dubai, UAE.
 
 
 In addition, the incumbent will strive to achieve CAE's goal of providing world-class flight simulator training center operations aligned with CAE&rsquo;s Vision as a global training partner of choice to enhance safety, efficiency, and readiness in all aspects of training center operations.
 
 
 
 The Role We Are Offering You
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Support all technical and operational aspects of the Flight Simulator Training Devices and Cabin Crew Training Devices as applicable.
 </li>
 <li>
 Attend flight crew and maintenance calls, perform daily readiness, support flyouts as required, perform scheduled preventative maintenance, and run Qualification Test Guides (QTGs).
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex training device issues and AOGs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify recurring issues and work to pursue permanent solutions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Seek and make improvements to procedures related to various training device maintenance tasks.
 </li>
 <li>
 Through coaching and mentoring, provide on-the-job technical training to other technicians, fostering the professional development of all personnel.
 </li>
 <li>
 Work with the specialists on complex issues that require extensive testing, troubleshooting, research, and design.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assure, maintain and support the FSTD operations Management System, including implementation and adopting processes and procedures as deemed required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform recurrent minor updates of Nav DB, Terr DB, OIS &amp; EFB Charts, Documents, and Perf Data, as well as IOS Lesson Plan uploads.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain, track, and request consumable items and tools required to perform the PMTs and Daily Readiness.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support logistics duties, including yearly inventories, re-arrangement of stores, packing, preparation for shipping, etc.
 </li>
 <li>
 Pursue knowledge and skills to become a technical expert in one or more simulator systems. (i.e. Visual, Motion, Flt Controls, etc&hellip;)

 Our Ideal Candidate Has

 Technical College Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical or Aviation Field and at least 3 to 6 years of related work experience.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent knowledge of the English language, read, spoken, and written.
 </li>
 <li>
 Highly customer-oriented, able to establish and maintain effective relationships with the customer.
 </li>
 <li>
 Skilled working knowledge of computer mainframe/architecture, networking, operating systems, and programming languages. Ability to make minor software changes.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficient technical background (Hardware and Software) and familiarity with FSTD technical issues, across all systems, specifically: motion, visual, avionics, dynamics of flight, aircraft systems, etc.&hellip;

 Proficient knowledge of various aircraft types, including Commercial Jetliners (Airbus family).
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficient understanding of aircraft and training device terminology.
 </li>
 <li>
 Good understanding of Commercial Aviation training.
 </li>

 Effective knowledge of local &amp; International (EASA, UAE DGCA, etc.) regulations, with demonstrated experience, as they pertain to FSTDs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficient computer skills with knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
