The Production Supervisor monitors production processes and is responsible for plant productivity and efficiencies.</div>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Follows and monitors GMP, HACCP, IIPP, Food Safety and SOPs guidelines;
</li><li>Completes and maintains production logs and other paperwork as needed for proper documentation;
</li><li>Sets up, adjusts, and maintains equipment with responsibility for production and quality;
</li><li>Manages all shift personnel via a direct reporting structure;
</li><li>Visually inspects and test machinery and equipment to detect malfunction;
</li><li>Works with management to discuss, diagnose problems and repair machinery;
</li><li>Operates equipment startup and shutdown;
</li><li>Communicates plant issue&rsquo;s and operations with management;
</li><li>Performs CIP and sanitation operations;
</li><li>Responsible for upholding food safety standards in the plant including being HACCP certified;
</li><li>Responsible for ensuring all HACCP verifications are reviewed and signed while on shift;
</li><li>Assists in providing safe working conditions for all employees;
</li><li>Develops and maintains positive and professional relationships with all employees and management;
</li><li>Monitors total plant operations and control of automated systems;
</li><li>Monitors material flow and instruments to include temperature, pressure gauges indicators and meters;
</li><li>Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of machinery;
</li><li>Works with QA department to test quality of product;
</li><li>Monitors and maintains inventory and notifies management if items need to be reordered;
</li><li>Performs maintenance duties to prevent, improve and during breakdowns;
</li><li>Ensures product is within quality and customer qualifications;
</li><li>Optimizes plant efficiency and coordinates plant needs accordingly;
</li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned.
</li></ul>Qualifications:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree or appropriate equivalent from an accredited university or;
</li><li>Minimum 5 years experience in food manufacturing
</li><li>Ability to speak, write, and read English is a must, some Spanish a plus;
</li><li>Ability to stand, kneel, bend over, climb stairs and ladders and lift/move up to 50 pounds;
</li><li>Must possess good mechanical, communication and people skills;
</li><li>Must be able to follow and communicate directions;
</li><li>Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure and compute rate, ratio and percentage;
</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft programs.</li></ul></div>
