ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES</b></p><ul><li><div>
Performs routine inspections to identify potential issues with cranes&rsquo; mechanical and hydraulic systems.</div></li><li><div>
Performs safety checks and ensures that cranes comply with safety regulations.</div></li><li><div>
 Uses computerized or electronic testing equipment to ensure the proper functioning of electronic and control systems.</div></li><li><div>
Maintains accurate records of service and repairs.</div></li><li><div>
Communicates effectively with crane operators and other team members.</div></li><li><div>
Orders and replaces parts as needed.</div></li><li><div>
 Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, or replaces faulty components and then reassembles the equipment.</div></li><li><div>
Works closely with Crane Operators to understand any technical issues and provide solutions.</div></li><li><div>
 Ensure that the machinery is correctly calibrated, reducing the risk of accidents.</div></li><li><div>
Understands and follows alignment procedures for aligning shafts, couplings, or other comparable items.</div></li><li><div>
Troubleshoots hydraulic system on mobile cranes.</div></li><li><div>
Test operate cranes to verify proper operations.</div></li><li><div>
 Repairs electro-mechanical equipment if needed.</div></li><li><div>
Perform inspection on crane boom chord, lattice, and structure according to AWS D1.1</div></li><li><div>
Remove, disassemble, rebuild, and reinstall systems such as booms, hoists, outrigger beams.</div></li><li><div>
Excellent problem-solving abilities to promptly identify and resolve mechanical issues that might affect the operation of the crane.</div></li><li><div>
 Removes, installs, and rebuilds, hydraulic cylinders, pumps, swivels, valves, and control systems.</div></li><li><div>
 Adhere to safety and compliance regulations.</div></li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS</b></p><p>
 The employee must have:</p><ul><li><div>
 A minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Crane Mechanic/Technician.</div></li><li><div>
 An exceptional knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and electrical systems is also vital for this role.</div></li><li><div>
Must have knowledge and ability to properly adjust and repair crane brake systems.</div></li><li><div>
Must be proficient in reading and understanding technical blueprints and manuals, and able to use computerized diagnostic tools and equipment.</div></li><li><div>
 Experience with diagnostic software and equipment</div></li><li><div>
 Understanding of safety and compliance regulations</div></li><li><div>
Excellent problem-solving abilities to promptly identify and resolve mechanical issues that might affect the operation of the crane.</div></li><li><div>
Strong attention to detail to ensure that all parts of the crane are in good working condition and that any defective parts are promptly replaced.</div></li><li><div>
Ability to read, comprehend and work from technical manuals, blueprints, and schematic diagrams to understand the construction and operation of cranes.</div></li><li><div>
Physical endurance and strength to manage heavy parts and work in physically demanding conditions.</div></li><li><div>
 Effective communication skills to interact with crane operators, team members, and supervisors, and to explain technical issues in a comprehensible manner.</div></li><li><div>
 Time management skills to perform repairs and maintenance tasks within the given timeframe.</div></li><li><div>
Experience with welding tools and equipment for repair and fabrication tasks.</div></li><li><div>
They are dependable, able to work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.</div></li><li><div>
 Willingness to travel to various job sites throughout the Gulf Coast region.</div></li><li><div>
Able to work onshore or offshore as needed.</div></li><li><div>
 Must be a self-starter with initiative to advance.</div></li><li><div>
This role requires working in outdoor and potentially harsh weather conditions, as well as in high places.</div></li><li><div>
Own and bring basic hand tools (i.e., socket set, pliers, wrench set, hex key set, feeler gauge set, etc.).</div></li></ul><div><b>
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS</b><br>
The employee must perform the job's essential functions with or without reasonable workplace accommodation.<br>
The individual must also be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required. This includes hard hat, safety glasses, life vest, respirators, ear plugs, steel toed shoes, personal flotation devices (PFD&rsquo;s), or other protective equipment as required by the work performed and location the work is being done.</div><p></p><div><br>
In addition, the employee must also be capable of:</div><ul><li><div>
 Walking, stepping, climbing, or otherwise moving from one location on the job site to another, which may be of varying heights and access parameters.</div></li><li><div>
Standing, stooping, twisting, bending, crouching, kneeling, squatting, climbing, or sitting repetitively and/or for prolonged periods of time.</div></li><li><div>
Repetitive movements by feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, hands and back in performance of work.</div></li><li><div>
Must be able to lift and carry 30lbs individually. Anything greater than 30lbs and up to 60lbs will require additional lifting means.</div></li><li><div>
Must be able to push and pull at peak force of 150lbs.</div></li><li><div>
 Climbing stairs and/or vertical ladders of a height of 6ft or greater.</div></li><li><div>
 Working in confined work areas and/or elevated heights.</div></li><li><div>
Adapting to temperature changes, outdoor conditions, and prolonged exposure to dusty, wet, or humid conditions, loud noises, and vibration.</div></li></ul><div>
